Mate...that's awesome! haha. Since Eco is part of the Arts/Social Sciences faculty...who knows, maybe we might end up being in a class together lol. Picked your units of study yet?
haha I'm trying to get into Law second year too. My original plan was UTS business then transfer to unsw commerce and then law JD since an external transfer to law is basically impossible. But now I'm probably going for UNSW int. studies then transfer to int. studies/law, comm/law, or if they don't let me then, comm then jd law.
Internal transfers make getting into law somewhat attainable provided we get that 75 wam lol. Im desperate to get into law for 2nd year
hey, i noticed you were doing the same major i was thinking of for int. studies. What subjects for business did you choose?, are we allowed to choose some of the core subjects from commerce as our electives?

Spending a year at an overseas university would be a great boost to your employment prospects, as employers look for attributes which distinguish candidates. I agree with you on taking this year slow - see how you go with it and if you can cope, then try branching out into some extra-curricular activites and stuff.
I'm not to sure about international business as a whole, but I would imagine that it does have relevance, because Australia is very closely connected with the world in terms of commerce and trade. Overall though, most commerce jobs are difficult to break into due to the huge amount of graduates entering the workplace. Try looking for a cadetship maybe, or something else to get your foot in the door of your choosen field.
Credit point systems can vary from uni to uni, so I'm not too sure if 24 CP will be a large workload (at ND, the smallest units are worth 20 cp each). I've noticed that the amount of credit points doesnt seem to correspond with workload levels. For me, criminal law was worth 35cp whilst marketing was worth 25 - and the workload (and difficulty for that matter) of marketing was way more than it was for criminal law. If you are doing four units per semester, then it should be manageable if you are driven and have a good work ethic. Just as a tip, accounting is usually the hardest first year business subject, but its the kind of subject where if you stay on top of things, its not that difficult - its when you fall behind that accounting becomes extremely hard.

No, I was just getting extremely motivated and relieved because you managed to get a 95 (something) ATAR, which is what I am essentially needing and I was worried I'd need marks of like 90+ for everything. Congratulations though
