You can break a 3 octave scale into singles octaves and into tetra chords (4 notes - half of an octave). Repeat the tetra cords up and down, over and over again but SLOWLY - you're aim is accuracy. This works pretty well for me and I learn the scales in 5 - 10min. It is a tedious process at...
Perhaps you could write down what YOU hear and then transpose it afterwards.
OR
Write down what you hear but imagine everything has a flat/sharp sign depending on the transposition. Hope this helps!
You can't actually book practice rooms. It's first in, first served. It's just, people use the rooms a lot but you can still find one with a piano. The rooms with pianos are on the bottom level, passing the East and West Recital Hals on your right, through the glass doors and turn left.
