    yea our trials start on monday, not impressed and slightly stressed :S
    umat was okay, S1+3 were okay, S2 not so much... ah well. its over now.
    haha, not going to burn my notes. selling them/keeping them for potential tutoring = much more useful :D
    in terms of least boring to study atm:
    german > music > maths > chem > english.

    english can go die :(

    You know how theres a HSC mark column which is yellow, then to the right there's a HSC scaled/100 column? Which column's the mark they send you, like the one that determines if you get a band 6?

    and say if you got like 60% the HSC advanced ENglish exam, would that go in the yellow columb, or the other one?

    umm im still going to the interview and if i get it i can still have a choice since there is a clause in the kpmg contract that i can pull out with 4 weeks notice

    However, you'll have to throw a couple of tutorial hours on top of that (say you do 4 subs a semester, that's usually 4 hours of tutes but occasionally a subject won't have a tutorial, or they'll sacrifice 1 hour of lecture time for a tutorial).

    Also, in 3rd year of actuarial, I've found that they clump together subjects more, i.e. there are very few breaks in your timetable. :( lol I only had 2 hours last sem, and will have 2 hours this sem, whereas before I had a couple more hours a week.

    2. Assuming you want to go every lecture lol:

    First year, your timetable will most likely have 5 days a week.
    Second year, you MAY have to go 5 days a week (if you do a particular double degree, for example) but most likely you'll go 4 days.
    Third year, I think the actuarial component is only 3 days. Depending on your double degree or other subjects it may increase (eg I have 4 days this upcoming semester, but had 3 last semester).

    3. Your hours are probably worst in the first year. First year 2nd sem you have something like 16 hours of lecture time (generally you have more like 12, give or take), which should answer your question lol

    Haha no problem.

    1. I don't believe you're technically REQUIRED, but you'll have to go a 4th year to do it anyway since a couple of 3rd year subs are prerequisites for the subjects which exempt you from your Part II Examinations. The vast majority of students do a double degree not only due to job security (a second degree is always better than just the original if you want a job etc) but since they'll need to go 4 years anyway, it's the popular option, and definitely recommended. Unless you do law/actuarial (which is very hard to excel in) the double degree doesn't place too much of a burden on you. In fact, you might find the break from core subjects refreshing!
