Where is the UTS shuttle bus at the city?

The tower building one is on Level 2 in the carpark. Just take the lifts to Level 2 and walk out and there is a sign there (from memory). That's also where the mail room is, if you ever need to go there for some reason.

Final Examination Timetable (Aut 08) Final Release - OUT!

Re: Final Examination Timetable (Aut 08) Provisional - OUT! Don't expect too many changes between the provisional and final timetables, especially for the large core subjects. If anything gets changed it'll be the smaller subjects as they have less people affected.

    General UTS chit-chat

Re: The UTS 'Secks and omg it is Week 6 already!' Thread Yeh it was alright...pretty busy from 1-3pm. I barely got a break during that time, lol, just had to keep talking one after the other =\ but yeh was fun I guess...good mix of students!

    no commerce course at UTS?

UTS has a Bachelor of Business degree, which is the equivalent of a commerce degree. I hope this helps. You can either do it as a single degree, or combined with most other areas that UTS offers (like IT, engineering, science, international studies, law, etc)

    Top of UTS!

No, the roof of UTS is a restricted area. Apart from the high wind you would encounter up there, there are a lot of satellites up there which would expose you to a higher than normal level of radiation, which obviously isn't good for you. The only roof I know of that you can get to is Building...

Front-office salary - What should I expect? Newbie?

Internal audit is so much better than external from my experiences now. I actually don't mind audit now! Not just work hours wise, but yeh everything.

Front-office salary - What should I expect? Newbie?

I personally wouldn't whinge about any of these salaries! Though given that you are selling your life away to the company in return, I suppose you'd want some sort of good compensation. I personally prefer a good work-life balance though, with an emphasis on the life. I mean, what's the point of...

Re: The UTS 'Secks and omg back to uni noooo!' Thread If that was true I'd be a CPA too already! Not sure if I will ever do the CPA/CA though, considering I'm working in IT at the moment.

    General UTS chit-chat

Re: The UTS 'Secks and omg back to uni noooo!' Thread I did it my first semester that I transfered into Business/IT (so that was the start of 3rd year). So erhm it was a bit weird for me to get used to reading books, etc. I read the textbook for the first few weeks and I realised that it made...

Re: The UTS 'Secks and omg back to uni noooo!' Thread I found Economics confusing, especially after like Lecture 4, coz I hadn't done economics in the HSC. It was alright in the end though, after reading the book, but it's like the whole HSC course in 1 semester. My tutor was fairly crap so I...

    2008 UTS Careers Fair

It goes for 4 hours, so why can't you go before or after your 2hr lecture? :p As Huratio said, it's more beneficial to final year students. If you want a lot of free promo stuff, then yeh it's definately the event to be at coz you'll walk out with bags of free stuff =P It's also very busy and...

    question: the accounting hierarchy

They are global companies, so yes Aust qualifications are recognised by them (especially at their Aust offices obviously). A fair amount of people there would be a CA as well, which is recognised around the world. A fair amount of people also travel around the world to work for the company in...

Best Ways To cope with Peak Hour (train congestion)

Listen to your iPod, works for me! Also, try and travel outside of peak hour where possible. Since you go to uni (rather than work), I assume you wouldn't always need to travel during peak hours in the peak direction =)

    General UTS chit-chat

    Re: The UTS 'Secks and Welcoming 2008 students!' Thread Is tax law a presentation still? We had to do a group presentation on a particular weeks lecture topic. We did CGT =.=;

    What's more time consuming...?

Uni will feel like less time than the HSC because of the contact/class time. Most degrees only have 12-15 hours per week for a full time load, so it will feel like you are bludging the other time. You'll have a lot of work outside of class, also studying, reading, etc etc so it all adds up. The...
