    Indian I Banking

It asks for your sex and DOB, which are things they can discriminate against you. I don't know too much about the legal stuff around job apps, but I believe an employer in this country is not allowed to ask you those things unless its required for the job (such as over 18 jobs) (but of course...

Re: The UTS 'Secks and ONLY secks' Thread Well I could cheat a little and merge a few threads into this one, such as the DDR thread which would add another 23 posts to this one :p

    assumed knowledge

They don't require those level of maths, it is just recommended. You won't do much (if any) maths in the core subjects in the IT courses. Some electives sometimes may have a bit of maths stuff depending on what you do.

    Careers/uni

You might not be able to get a cadetship but you can usually get some sort of industrial or work experience in your area at some companies. You just need to look harder I guess. Graduate jobs are probably a bit easier to find I guess and if you go to those careers fairs and stuff they have at...

    Advice Needed From 18+

Full fee paying degrees can cost up to $18k a year, but as the above person has said, if you can get a CSP (HECS) course, then you will be able to defer all your course fees and only have to pay for basic uni fees and books, which should be cheaper than going to college, private business...

    A Guide to Getting a Graduate/Vacation Job

For all those people in their final year at the moment, now is the time to start looking at graduate positions if you haven't already started! Most applications do close quite soon for mid 2007/early 2008 starts. Most major uni's should be having (or already had) careers fairs sometime very...

Who Thinks UTS Needs a Makeover?

Well those plans have been around since Building 10 opened in 2002 but I haven't heard anything else apart from what's listen on that site. Is there any new news available that states that it will go ahead? I mean one of the reasons they didn't do it was because of the bus route down Jones St...

Who Thinks UTS Needs a Makeover?

IT is in Building 10, on Jones St. It has a similar feeling to that of the newly renovated Building 4. I think the new grass area behind the tower looks good and its better than what used to be there. At least there's more grass now, lol. Too bad they never went ahead with the plan to close...

    B Bus B Scit Majors

Classes not running are dependent on individual subjects rather than majors. You will find that some subjects will form part of more than 1 major. In the case of the marketing major, you will find that this major shares some of its subjects with the advertising major, as well as various...
