    79014 Applied company Law

The subject was pretty dry and boring for me but the facilitator should give you plenty of notes which you should write down. Our mid semester and final exams were open book and if you took enough notes in class, then the exam wasn't that hard. I did better in this subject than I thought and I...

    General UTS chit-chat

Re: The UTS 'Secks and Start of Autumn Semester' Thread Well actually this subject is different. The "Advanced Communications in IT" (if you failed the English test subject) mainlt focused on improviding verbal and written communication skills, whereas this subject is more than that. I...

    First Year IT Camp 2007

I attended the past 4 IT camps as a yellow shirt and the first one obviously as a student. I missed out this year, oh well! I hope you guys had fun :D

    BScIT 2007 Students

If I did the BBus/BScIT in the 2007+ format, I would have done the Computing and Data Analytics major as it has the most interesting subjects in it for what I would have liked to do. I wanted to do the data mining subject, but I had no spare electives and just did programming instead.

    B Business B computing

HECS fees rise each year by a few percentage points. It's been like that every year (except for when they went up by a massive 25%).

HELP: What subjcts to choose (for an Accounting Cadet)

1 hour lecture doesn't necessarily mean less workload...it just means shorter classes. I think both subjects have equal workloads. They are both kind of dry subjects (well depends where your interests lie), though I actually did better in Economics for some odd reason.

    Business option-strategy or Accounting 2?

You have to do Acct Trans and Business Decisions if you want to do the Accounting or Finance majors, so most people seem to do it.

HELP: What subjcts to choose (for an Accounting Cadet)

I would definately do 22107 Accounting for Business in Autumn semester, just to make sure you actually like accounting! It also leaves open the option for you to do 22207 Accounting Transactions and Business Decisions as well in Spring semester before you do your other core subjects and get a...

    Sydney Transport Stuff (mainly trains)

This report is quite good at summarising what's happening over the next 10 years in terms of Sydney's transport (mainly trains), including some projects that haven't really been heard of before this report. Just thought I'd post and see if anyone out there would say something...

    IE 7 Question

I've found IE7 to be faster than IE6 and more useful as well.

what do you do as an auditor?

I guess it really depends what type of auditing you are doing. I find this to be true for financial audit, but as for IT audit and internal audit, which is where I was working, we did things a bit differently. Depending on the manager and senior you worked for, for a typical 2 week engagement...

Why is uni done in semesters not trimesters?

I think uni works well in semesters and having trimesters would be too stressful. As people have said, there is summer school available where you can usually do up to 2 units if you wanted to (and if they were available). On another note, some courses are run as trimesters, like the CA program...

what do you do as an auditor?

Yeh, you usually can. I'm not sure how it works, other than the payments come out of your pre-tax salary rather than post-tax. Most people I worked with just caught a taxi, lol.
