    independent trial 2005

I got 100% but we hadn't done binomial theorem yet so the last part of Q7 was inverse trigonometry.

I did this one whatever it is.

    Complaints made on other students.

If you get the same relative mark to the rest of the class in the hsc as you did in your assessments then it wouldn't affect their hsc at all. Plus, it doesn't matter if you're in different classes because the BoS counts the school as a whole, not the classes. Tell them all how dumb they are for...

    Importance of Assessments.

You don't need top ranks in ALL of your subjects. Last year my brother had 76/150 in english advanced and got a UAI of 98.4. You can get a UAI over 95 if you just work hard from now until the HSC.

    Mathematical Induction Question

Er, no its not. To prove by mathematical induction you have to use the assumption.

The official 2005 CSSA results thread!!!

Yeah, only academic selective school in newcastle I think. I think we were 35 or something last year but that grade was probably a bit below average.

well, I'm ecstatic with my result. Got 100% in the trial with 84/84 but still didn't come first overall because of stupid mistakes earlier in the year.

    Geostationary satellite

You can't do it because a satelite not near to the equator will follow a figure 8 pattern if in a 24 hour period for some reason i can't remember.
  13. thunderdax

    Permutations & combinations

It means find the product of that number and every positive integer less than itself.

Chem engineering careers night at Newie, Anyone?

I'll think about it, but probably not.
  15. thunderdax

    What's your age? HSC people

Cruel???? Are you nuts or something? I can't wait to have a great time next year away from my parents while I'm 17.

    Pre-exam freakout

you've still got tonight. That should be enough to learn just about everything really quickly with no depth on any particular part.
  17. thunderdax

Greater awareness of scaling, aligning and moderating

Very true. I stand corrected. Although it may seem I chose my subjects because of their scaling, I really couldn't imagine doing subjects other than these because I'm crap at everything else.
  18. thunderdax

Greater awareness of scaling, aligning and moderating

I don't think a better knowledge of scaling is required. It shouldn't make an impact on what subjects students require to do and so long as you work hard for the subjects you are studying you can always get a good UAI.
  19. thunderdax

Never leave home without it. No HSC for me

I'll trade you Mayfair for it?
  20. thunderdax
