    Section I: Short Answers

I used aqueous, because if it is in a solution, and dissolved gas in a solution then it must be aqueous. However, if there is gas around the electrodes, it can reduce too. AFAIK, as both can occur, both are correct. Was that titration the one that ended up being 0.050001 molar or something? I...

That's assuming you use fossil fuels to produce ethanol. I guess most production plants are though - should've mentioned that. No. Chlorine is reduced. That means chlorine becomes chlorine ions. It's the opposite of making Cl gas.

    Section I: Short Answers

I wrote three balanced equations. One to show that CO2 and H2O convert to glucose. Then a glucose to ethanol, releasing some CO2, then finally the ethanol to H2O and CO2. I explained in between equations and then at the end wrote that as the original reactants are CO2 and H2O, as are the final...

What won't you miss about high school.

    1. Advanced English - the only thing it taught me how to do was memorise a lot of words in very little time. 2. English homework, such as lame photocopied questions from textbooks. 3. Shit teachers - I had a mix of good and bad. The bad enforced irrelevant homework, among other things and were...

wanting 90+.. image geting 89.95 haha

Just for reference guys, higher numbers are worth more. HSC marks on counts above zero, not numeral aesthetics.

    What was your top/worst subject?

    Heya, should I be worried?

You don't need a band 6 to get a 70 UAI, no matter how crap your subjects are. Get about 75 in everything and you will get around 70-75 UAI (play around with SAM). That's pretty piss easy as for some subjects that's a raw exam mark of 50-60.

    Raw band cut-offs. (Updated: 15/09/04)

I don't think anyone has done it for ages. They were refusing to do it and I think that's what that blue form that we sign, saying "BOS has the right to retain or destroy students HSC marks." Apparently that wouldn't hold up against FOI act though, as you can force someone to sign away their...

    Estimate band 6 cutoff

They mean highest raw mark. That also isn't true.

    Multiple choice-Q14

Yes, we already know that you think that there is no such thing as diluting acids. You think the answer is C, because you believe if I put one drop of HCl in a pool, the pH of the whole pool will be 1. Actually, let's make a similar actual question: 100mL of 1M HCl is added to a 50 000L...

    Estimate band 6 cutoff

Yeah I had some wtf moments during looking at the marking of my chem trial. One question was out of 5 and they gave me 1.5/5. Looking at the marking scheme it looked like at least 4/5, but everyone's was marked really weirdly for that so I didn't bother arguing it.

    Centripetal Force Help

Stop posting questions in the exam thoughts forum. People that have just finished their HSC this week, including physics couldn't be bothered solving these. You will get a lot more help if you use the correct forum. You should PM a mod to move your threads there. You want: Not To help with...

    Heya, should I be worried?

In a relative sense, it still scales BETTER than many subjects. Many scale down.

Step up for the cathode ray tube which is high voltage and step down for the low voltage transistor circuitry.

    27 Wtf

I don't know how many answers they will accept, as most are plausible, however, what I put, which is correct is that the higher current in the wire will heat it, due to it have finite resistance. The heat will increase resistance, in turn causing a drop in current. Malfunctioning resistor is...

    General Thoughts - Physics

^ lame troll with lame fake teacher is lame. Erm, 75? You did complete one of the electives right? Band 6 is probably 80-85 and band 5 is 65-70. Although I think in one thread, Laz posted 78 was band 6 cutoff and I think 62 for band 5 (2001 paper AFAIK).

    Multiple choice-Q14

Sorry that won't happen. Anyone that put C has either seen it was a mistake, by the correct working here, OR is slightly special and will not show logic or reasoning, just "I think it's C".

    Shipwrecks

I'm surprised "Mrs Pooviah" didn't tell YOU the answer was the motor effect, with no logic or reasoning whatsoever, just that as a blunt answer.
