I completely agree. These days the hints that chicks give can be very blurred and subtle, that it's hard to distinguish if she really likes u or not. For example the way college girls flirt and that may not necessarily mean they like you....they may just be messing around, and having fun...

I agree, well once u get your first job its your experience that counts. A degree is just like a ticket into the workforce, just as the UAI was a ticket into uni (and is now meaningless). I think that in general a science degree(with a major in maths) is a better degree to have than a commerce...

Yes its exactly the same thing. Usually for first year science you complete 2 3 credit point maths subjects each semester. And if u choose enough maths subjects and obtain a weighted average mark (WAM) of 65 or greater you can transfer to the advanced maths stream (that's if u weren't in it...

Who cares if ANU is supposedly the best uni in Aus, when u go to uni no one cares about such superificial things. Those who are making their uni subject choices should be thinking about other factors such as atmosphere, whether the uni has your course or not, distance to travel etc......... not...

Porges is a loser, I found that out when trying to apply for St.Andrews two years ago (ended up getting into Wesley instead). He's full of double-standards. Your UAI means a lot to porges, (particularly if you're applying to drews later on), he anticipated that I would get a high 99 uai, but...

28 cp is a fair bit of work if doing say combined commerce and science (speaking from experience). But for arts/commerce, u won't have many contact hours at uni and if u use that time wisely u should be fine.

Yeah it can be changed, all u have to do is keep all your adv maths subjects for 3 years and make sure u major in maths

u'll only end up with about 24 hours a week :D U really only have four subjects because the two maths subjects effectively count as one (both add up to 6 credit points).

Generally most ppl don't go with their parents to O-week. Having said that if u did, its not as if anyone would care because u wouldn't know anyone else around the uni anyway. :D hmm I might close this thread if it continues to be spammed :cool:

It's B science (adv math)/ B Commerce because you do mainly science subjects for the first 3 years. U can tell if you are doing adv maths because on your enrolment sheet it will say "Stream: Advanced Mathematics". If you were doing Bscience/ B commerce it would say "Stream: no Stream".

heh, if u think thats bad, u should visit the colleges on campus for a couple of days. Most of the guys run around the corriders naked everyday with no shame whatsoever.
