What questions did you get wrong?

It was the complete shaded region. You already did the area of the quad a couple of questions ago. Basically you needed to get the area of the two circles, minus the overlapping segments, plus the quad.

    General thoughts- Extension 1 maths

Argh I stuffed the probability. I did it as if the kids had to sit in the middle, with a parent at each end: (2x4!)/6! Meh, shit happens, but stupid mistakes are frustrating. All in all, the difficulty was comparable to previous years. The induction question was easy, I even bothered doing it.

What is the Band 6 cut-off

I think we need terminology here: Aligning: - Is the process of converting a raw mark to a mark out of 100, depending on what percentage of people got what marks that year, determining the cut-offs. Scaling: - Is the process (UAC) of comparing aligned marks in subjects to one another. For...

    2Unit Mathematics 2007 Solutions

If you put 1/4 x 39/51, then you have to multiply by 4. This is because 1/4 is the chance of picking a card from a particular suit. x4 makes it ANY suit. It's easier to just say the first card can be anything and call it 1 x 39/50. Get it?

What questions did you get wrong?

I just realised that it's months completed, so 10.56 or whatever it was brings you halfway through November. Do'h! Oh well.

    Red P test question

For those that have done the new Ps test (which started in July, to be fully implemented by December), did you have to parallel park? Two people I know have said they did it and didn't have to parallel park. It's not that it's difficult, but going down a "busy" road is easier than parking...

    I got october, but I think I got 2009.

    General Thoughts - Mathematics

It was t=1. You had to solve simultaneous equations. That's the first time I've seen an EG&D question like that. The A value was not rational, which was a first for me, which I thought was wrong, until my friends said they got the same thing.

    thoughts on 2 units adavnced

My thoughts are similar. I've been doing well in the past papers (which I've done 20+ of), with 105-110 and with plenty of time to spare. For some reason in this one, I felt rushed. I think it's because it's my first HSC exam and I was slower to try and be careful and neat. Just remember that in...

2007 Federal Election - Coalition or Labor/Howard or Rudd?

I don't think so. I dislike him the least too.

Permutations and Combinations are CRAZY HARD.

Re: 回复: Re: Permutations and Combinations are CRAZY HARD. Think of it this way. Beads are placed on a string along their axis, in which they appear identical every 180°. Humans at a table do NOT look the same from heads downwards as feet upwards, therefore you don't divide by 2.

Okay, I'll give you that one.

Click for those unfamiliar with the concept. Which you should be by now, with liberal in power for so long. :p

2007 Federal Election - Coalition or Labor/Howard or Rudd?

Uh, I hate people who ignore fact or say ignorant things. Curtis is a tosser. I bet you could prove evolution to him using coloured paper animals (which a child would grasp) and he would still deny its possibility. Costello is slightly more human than Howard, but evil at heart. That's why he...

lol oh n0es not fair workplaces. Those heartless union bastards! :p

Haha yeah. The rest of the post was reasonably funny, but that last part really topped it off. :D

    Biology vs Ext2 English

Basically Guol, no-one except you can make this decision. If you really can't decide, just keep both for 5-10 weeks. Do the first year 12 assessment for each.

    Biology vs Ext2 English

Well, one reason is because it's a bludge (at least compared to chemistry or physics, which are more difficult sciences). The other is because I despise the English syllabus. ;)

    Biology vs Ext2 English

I voted for bio, because that is what I would do. In your situation, go for EE2, because if you have a knack for English/arts you should be able to coast through nicely. :)

    SPORT in year 12

What? Aren't you supposed to get STU-VAC? At my school, you are done in term 3 and only have to show up for exams. Seeing as the Board of Studies doesn't require you to be there, can't you just give them the F-U and actually do something important? EDIT: I think after re-reading this, the OP...
