    UWS taboo

Heh, in the end it's going to be exactly like the UAI - it (degree) will get you a start somewhere, but no one really gives a shit after that .. especially about which university you studied at.

    The Mexican

I thought the movie was pretty shit :|

    UWS taboo

    4. The limited amount of places being offered for 2005. Policing numbers went from 115 places offered to 65.

    BS or BMedSci?

I think B Science and B Med Sci are similar in the first year (but with Med Sci students obviously studying at a higher level in some subjects). But I'd go with the B Med Sci.

    UWS taboo

I'm at Bankstown as well, I admit it doesn't have state-of-the-art facilities like other universities, but we're doing quite well for a uni that doesn't exactly have the best funding from the government. Plus, I've studied at UNSW before and I haven't ever regretted once my decision to...

Is UNSW overrated in terms of prestige? Yes.

    CSU Diploma of Policing Practice

Nah, you don't need one, it's an optional thing. It's just back up in case you don't like what you're doing. That and yeah, we get paid more and we get higher consideration when it comes to promotions.

UWS not to increase HECS in 2005

Yeah, it's great how they're not raising HECS fees .. but they have to get money from somewhere. *concurs with santaslayer*

    CSU Diploma of Policing Practice

It's great. I transferred from my Science degree to Policing and haven't regretted making the change. It's a fair amount of work (airy fairy arts subjects + policing subjects + law subjects), and the old school cops give you a bit of shit, but it's worth it. I'd recommend it, definitely...

    CSU Diploma of Policing Practice

I'm doing the Policing degree at UWS which (at the end) has cross-institutional studies with CSU. Just thought I'd post that :|

    That whole UWS taboo.

Mm, exactly redruM. I'm at UWS and we have people in our course who got UAI's of 90+ and the cut-off UAI was 75. I've studied at both UNSW and UWS (pfft, I left UNSW for UWS) and I don't see what uni you go has to do with anything as long as you're studying what you want and are happy...

    Yacht Buoy @ UMACQ!!

You've become a mere tool in their world of consumerism and sweat shops, Michael.

How do you get a girl to like you?

Not when they can't remember it :p Or remember a lot of things for that matter..
  15. christ_ine

How do you get a girl to like you?

You're a sick man, Michael .. no wonder you don't have a girlfriend :p And pfft, chloroform is so blasé, lol
  16. christ_ine

    Stupid vending machines!!

LOL, I think eLmo goes to Parra, not Bankstown :P

    UWS taboo

I don't think it's because "there are fewer people in the Western suburbs who actually want to go to university", it's because the demand for the degree at UWS is lower from not just the western suburbs, but Sydney-wide. This is most probably due to the stigma attached to the western suburbs and...
