awww see isn't cape so nice? :p yeah it's really not all that exciting, and I check my e-mail all the time and there's hardly anything there. Chances are you'll wait with anticipation and then when you finally log in all you'll find is an empty, lonely inbox...don't worry though...has anyone...

    tutorials

like cape said it's up to you,and I suppose it depends on the rest of your timetable. The tutprials straight after the lecture tend to be the most popular ones though...personally I go for those because what's said in the lecture is fresh in my mind for the tutorial. The same day is usually...

    Webmail

it's a "first years" problem...just keep trying, it will work one of these days. It only takes about 15mins after you activate your account usually before you can access it so I don't think that's anything to worry about, just one of those things. It's annoying, but unavoidable until it's sorted...

ETA EE2 Study Day or something 20th March

fantastic, let us know what you think of it...I think it will be a worth-while thing for you, and everyone else who goes of course! :)

that's ok giggles869, not being enrolled in spring units at this stage isn't a problem...but yes definitely asap so as to avoid missing the tutes and stuff that you want...

    Dropping to Standard- Too late?

EDIT sorry ... what I meant to say is that it doesn't scale better so don't make the decision based on how bad you think you'll go, and the affect that it may have on your UAI, it won't really matter...one assessment doesn't have that big an effect so I'd stick it out...like I said though your...

    Dropping to Standard- Too late?

hey, one bad mark isn't a reason to drop down...I recommend you go and see your teacher and ask them what they think, I personally wouldn't drop down now, but it may still be possible, though if so will probably require a lot of catch up work. You may be able to get some outside help such as...

Do unis give out year planners

last year some campuses gave away diaries, on the first day or within the first week...when you start you'll probably hear about things like that so I'm sure you won't miss out if they do give them out, although last year my campus (bankstown) didn't give them out. I did get a year planner thing...

    Benefactors

no my take on it was that iambored was merely referring to people helping each other, in a general way just by posting in these forums...;) For what it's worth I think it looks good...I don't see how it's confusing, just another way to make the members of the Benefactors group stand out to...

    tutorials

hehe that's all good, if you're attending the tute before the lecture (I'm assuming it's on?) you may meet someone in there who is willing to take notes and let you borrow them. You'll have to check if you'll be having the tute before the first week as some units do not run the first weeks tute...

    tutorials

if you miss a lecture sometimes a lecturer will put notes on webCT if your unit has a page there, otherwise the only thing you can do is borrow someone elses notes, or e-mail the lecturer and ask if they have any notes...don't worry heaps of people miss lectures...the content of a lecture is...

    special requirements

I'd do it as soon as you get the chance, you have to be enrolled in all of your units by the start of tute registration which starts progressively from 15 Feb...otherwise you can't register for the lectures and tutes that you want...is that what you're asking?

ETA EE2 Study Day or something 20th March

I just looked up the website for you...there is information about the study day at this URL: http://www.englishteacher.com.au/students/studentStudyDays.html You can register and get information by clicking on either of the two links under "English Extension 2" It's easy to know what to do...

    Webmail

yeah I agree with cape, you should ring them if it's not up and running in a few days just to see what the deal is...though they will probably just tell you that they are being organised etc and stuff like that. They should be ready be the time uni starts but you can check with your student...

    Harry Potter

yeah I read The Hobbit in year 8 or 9 or something like that...I pretty much rewrote the novel in the form of diary entries (I was supposed to be Bilbo...lol) so yeah I still remember the basics. :)

    Harry Potter

the hobbit is actually a good one to do, PM me if you'd like to discuss it more, I think it would be a lot easier to do, especially if you'd have to read it more than once. ;)

    first day

hehe it's ok I was a bit like that too...this time last year I was getting ready to catch trains regularly for the first time by myself and I got through it. I don't think there is much danger of you falling down the gap between the station and the train, and if you're worried about getting on...

    Harry Potter

Personally I think there would be better ones...maybe someone else has another opinion though, which particular book were you thinking of? Anything involving quests or something like that would be good...so perhaps you could use something from one of the harry potter books, though it would be a...

what campus will you be travelling to soha? and from where? I'm sure after a week or so you'll get used to travelling on trains :)
