    first day

hehe yeah that wasn't too reassuring, but yeah I seem to attract a lot of weird people on trains, it all depends on what time you go, where you get on and where you get off...most of the time you'll be fine, especially in peak hour and stuff, just make sure you're in the night safe area at...

    timetable changes

no, tute registration does not start for anyone until 15th Feb and happens progressively from then depending on which school your units belong to, as each school has a different opening time. I assume that zzangelzz is referring to their draft timetable, or the one that they have figured out...

    Student Webmail

student webmail is not working as yet for new students so you have nothing to worry about there, they are probably just working on getting it up and running, so don't be concerned that it says you don't exist, they're busy getting it ready for you to access I'd say. As far as accessing the units...

    i enrolled

all you need to do is go to the link cape provided, and enter your student ID number...it's pretty simple, all the instructions are there for you, you'll also have to choose a password to use to login to your student e-mail account etc. You have to wait about 15mins after you activate your...

    first day

cape's right it will be ok, there will be plenty of people wondering around first day back so just ask them, leave some extra time before tutes and lectures to find the right place, people usually stand around outside rooms waiting for classes so if you're not sure if you're in the right place...

ETA EE2 Study Day or something 20th March

fair enough so long as you're sure you already know everything you have to, a lot of us thought we did until we went...$40 is a lot of money and I'm sure you're on the right track...you can probably ask others who go what went on anyways, and remember the BOS is always here if you need help.

    advice for extension students!!!

watching the italian news is always good...though I'm not sure how much you will understand being at beginners level, there's no harm exposing yourself to it though...listening to the italian radio station is good for improving listening skills too...as far as TV shows go there are several you...

ETA EE2 Study Day or something 20th March

I have to admit I noticed that...though perhaps we should use the term "eccentric" instead of strange :p Paying early is a really good idea so it's a good idea for you guys to really consider whether you want to go and commit yourselves to it asap in order to avoid disappointment.

    diaries???

yeah if I remember correctly you need at least 2 weeks notice of an assignment due date? so any changes involving assignments will be discussed with you, usually the unit outline is followed pretty strictly...but don't worry you'll always be informed as to what is happening and have enough time...

    lord of the rings

I'll think about a replacement novel for you, though talk to your teacher if you decide to go ahead with the fellowship of the ring I'll try to help you all I can. Let me know what you decide, and I'll try and see if I can come up with a good alternative for you. :)

    i enrolled

well I'm enrolled in my spring units too...that's only because I chose all of my subjects for the year at the same time. By all means you can register now for your spring units if you think that they may be in high demand and may be full before you get a chance to enroll in them. Make sure...

    i enrolled

you don't have to worry about spring semester just yet, so make sure you're enrolled in all of the units you should be, or want to be for autumn. Once you're enrolled in all the units you have to be you can decide on your timetable. The times and days available for you to choose from for each...

    first day

that's right guys, depending on which units you are doing the first week is more of an introductory one. They don't really dump you in it so that you're completely lost, though things will get more serious from the second week onwards. Just remember that lecturers and tutors are there to help...

    Status: Unconfirm

what problem are you having...maybe your units just aren't processed properly yet? If you think it may be full I'd ring up the student centre of your home campus and get them to check if there are any spaces left in the unit, if you don't already know you can find the contact details of student...

ETA EE2 Study Day or something 20th March

that is one thing I noticed, which if there is no other benefit is a good enough reason to go (though perhaps expensive) and that is that after going you feel more motivated and actually want to work on your major work. I'm not too sure how long the need to work lasts but if you're one of those...

ETA EE2 Study Day or something 20th March

yeah most cover the same content, but I suggest you go to at least one offered somewhere...if nothing else it gives you something to write in your journal :p They do usually give out some sheets and notes which come in handy...I got a whole booklet on what to do and avoid doing when writing my...

ETA EE2 Study Day or something 20th March

I went to a lot of them actually...I went in yr. 11 when I was considering doing 4u as well as in yr. 12. I think they are very worthwhile, you get told a lot of things that you may not know, and what you do know is confirmed for you. That way there is no doubt in your mind about whether you're...

    Questions...

yeah they'll get you to fill out all of those forms then so make sure you have your TFN and stuff at hand on the day.

    first day

the day you start will depend on your timetable and what day you have your first unit, uni goes back though from Monday 28 Feb...if you have a class scheduled on monday you will start then and so on if that makes sense. They don't really expect much from you first day...all you have to do is...
