    when's your first assessments start???

Help: Circular motion at constant angular velocity

The ball will have a constant angular velocity when the force exerted on it is the same for all parts of its motion in an orbit; and since it's coming from the same source, the ball is at the same distance away from it at all times ie. it moves in a circle (constant radius) around the source...

    object in air

Uhh...looks to me as if the ball's gonna spin in the same direction for both :p Or is the force applied to the top of the ball for it to undergo backspin?

    MAXIMUMS! Urgent Help Please

A global maximum is the point where the function achieves its greatest value for all x values in the domain, and similarly for a global minimum, the least. You'd probably be required to find the global maximum/minimum within its domain or within part of its domain, where you'd just find all the...

    Locus/Parabola

The most straightforward solution for both, sub all three points into the general formula (x-h)2=4a(y-k) and solve simultaneously for a, h, k :)

    How was your school day?

Just back from chem excursion. Meh, a bit pointless, going on a filtration plant in a hot day like this... And now they wouldn't let us home till something like 2:30. The teachers say that they're not allowed to even though we got back at, 1:30pm :mad1:

I got the textbook from the school - the fourth one for 4u actually, plus another one we already have for 3u. So it does look like I need some organisation of the stuff in my locker...:p So maybe ask your school where to get it?

    validty, realibilty

Put simply, Valid = results are obtained using methods that correctly and effectively measure what was aimed to measure. Reliable = similar results may be obtained when the same procedures are repeated. I remember there was these bullseye diagrams that show the difference between the two as...

Heh, I'd say a lot of people would agree with you :p
  18. airie

    Dillemma!!

What's wrong with doing 12 units? :D You know, you won't necessarily get higher marks for the 10 units that's gonna count if you just do 10 instead of 12 :p

Is the pressure kicking in yet?

I should stop slacking off and start doing some work. Haven't done any for ages <.< And the assessments start in two weeks :o

    nCr / Biotheo question

And use Pascal's triangle for part (a) too, seeing that a number in a row is equal to the two numbers directly above it in the previous row ie. nCr + nCr+1 = n+1Cr+1. wtg for Pascal's triangle :D
