    Best/Most Useful Textbook

^lol I think I got that textbook too for year 11, in case we wanted some "extra practice". Except most people just left it in their locker and never touched it since XD

    Advice needed: Standard/Advanced English (Reconsidering)

Same advice as everyone else, doing Advanced first :D I didn't have a choice a year ago as everyone in year 11 at my school does Adv English, but you do have the choice to drop to Std for year 12. Back then I was thinking, "Heh, I'd most probably drop after year 11, or maybe even ESL," but it...

    Time-wise, how did you go?

Those of you kids who slept in science yesterday...don't you feel even more energised now after the longer nap in maths? :D

    Quick Questions

Just remember: when you multiply or divide both sides of an inequality by a positive number, the inequality still holds (and no, it will not "unbalance" the inequality, since you're carrying out the operation on bothsides). It is only when you multiply or divide both sides by a negative number...

Compilation of Chemistry Formulae (Need Pluvia or Riviet double check)

Re: Compilation of Chemistry Formulae (Need Pluvia or Riviet to double check) Oh, so there's no new formulas apart from the ones you already know from the prelim course? Sounds good :D EDIT: Btw, it might be that delta(H) = -mc delta(T), if you take delta(H) to be the change in enthalpy [after...

    Projectile Motion-help

...Why am I not surprised that the maths ext 1 method would involve all this calculus...:p

    Best/Most Useful Textbook

The thing that annoys me about Cambridge is the answers. They rarely have any explanations. Maybe they were lazy? :p

    Centripetal Force

Yeah, because the only force acting on the object is the centripetal force, which is solely supplied by the gravitational field of the central body (which accelerates things towards this body, as it is ITS field), so the object will be accelerated towards the centre.

    Q' about English SC

Well, if you're asked to write a letter, write a letter. Why give them a reason to take off marks? :D
  14. airie

!!!!!!!!!! What Topics Would be in the Exams? !!!!!!!!!!

It'll be different every year, most probably. Just look at the focus areas on the BOS website. And isn't it a little late to worry about "can't memorise everything" now? o.0

What do you think you're going to get in SC?

Ooh yes I remember that, some people from my school were checking it out last year. Well, it didn't really count towards your SC (as in, didn't appear on your certificate), did it? :p

    Chemistry??help Please

Nothing is compulsory to get into a uni course these days. I think chem is recommended though, so it'll help you if you did it. As for the difficulty, no I don't think it's that hard (well, speaking for the prelim course anyway :p), just knowing your syllabus dot points will do you fine.

    yearly feedbacks- mark and rank

The ranks are awesome, congrats :D You don't really need to worry, but you could always find out how has your school done in those subjects in previous years just for the reassurance...I'm not sure how to though :o

    Inevitable Boredom

How can you get bored? Not if you have a computer with Internet access :D

    Centripetal Force

Centripetal force is supplied by and only by the gravitational field of the central body, thus an object under the effect of centripetal force will accelerate towards this central body.
