I don't enjoy it either, but I find it much more manageable than say...QMB, which I absolutely despise. Of course, that's partly due to the fact that I suck at maths. P.S. Does anyone know the entries for Income tax overprovisions/underprovisions during the next financial year?

Yeah Leon Wong is too enthusiastic. I like Peter Lam better, and I don't mind his accent too much - "cashfrows" Haven't had Helen Kang for long enough to make a judgement, and haven't had Nicole Ang at all

They are definitely similar, in fact the handbook links you to the same page when you click on "Business Law" and "Taxation" on the Specialisations page (that and they are both run by the School of Business Law and Tax). However, they are listed as separate majors, and it says you are not...

I was thinking about double majoring in either one of these and did a bit of research using the UNSW handbook. Can anyone point out the major differences between these specialisations as they seem very similar and even employ some of the same courses...would employers prefer one over the other?

Were the tutorial quizzes back in S1 basically asking you to regurgitate lecture material, besides obviously the application of formulae? What were the marks like?

I've considered Accounting/Taxation...anyone else have this combination and willing to elaborate on their experience?

hoojoo, did you change programs using the orange form from the FCE centre at uni? Also, just had a look at the Fee Statements section in Myunsw, it seems to have one for Comm/Sci, and one for Comm; both for Semester 2...I'm hoping there's something similar on yours....? Would rather not be...

That's true but I already tried enrolling into this class 24 hours ago (when the class was 23/25), and the latest update was this morning at 1:30

It currently has 24/25 spots filled...but I'm not sure what you mean. There are other classes with 24/25 but I can still select them in myUNSW. This has happened a fair few times with other courses...grrr

Hey guys, this might sound pretty stupid, but there's a tutorial I really want to enrol in as it's perfect for my timetable, but for some reason when I do the whole drop/swap thing in myUNSW, it doesn't display all the available classes/times for me, even though in the handbook it definitely...

In the course outline for QMA it states "it will be desirable to have a two variable statistical mode to perform linear regression calculations" for QMB. Did you guys have to get a new calculator? I can't seem to find the fx-911W which it recommends, is there some newer model?
