Broadband download and upload are independant of each other. Uploading shouldnt affect your download speed. As a rule of thumb, upload for adsl is about 6-7 kb max whereas cable is about 15-20 max. Download max for adsl is about 100k max and cable is about 1 meg.

ViVo stands for Video In Video Out. IT's used mainly for video editing and that. It looks like your friend wants to use your computer as a TV as well XD. I'm guessing that it would be a maintenance part of the SDD Development Cycle. Especially for databases. For example, banks have to sync their customer databases with the main databases so that it's always up to date.

Well if you're looking at a computer for that sorta stuff then you can easily get a computer that would be able to do the things you need. I assume you already have a modem for the internet and such so I'll give you some average prices for the components you'll need. Motherboard - 200 tops...

SDD questions are always ambiguous and have double meanings...what do you expect? Our teacher didn't even know what parallel and phased implementations were and he's been teaching the course since it was first introduced a couple of years ago.
