    You should be fine, I dont see what the problem is... If you're concerned about your fails, they dont count as you havent studied one year FTE.

    You wont need to as they wont count them. They wont see them. You were excluded or suspended were you?

    You should be okay if they count your GPA only if you have studied 1 yr FTE. So yeh, they should just count your UAI. For next time, get everything documented - it always helps down the track.

    Apply for B Arts at UTS (you might get in, UTS always overstates their cut offs), and then transfer. UTS is quite lenient in their transfers. But you will need to do well at uni to transfer, i.e. 70+ average. (halfway between credit and distinction).

    Re: is my father right - how much of a factor is the 'reputation' of the uni? usyd vs Sound like you have made your decision. Pick UTS. I used to think UTS was rubbish, but its rep is improving quite fast. It's better than USYD for communications.
