    Death of a Salesman

Anyone read it? I'm not usually one for reading plays, but few stories of any medium affected me quite as profoundly as Death of a Salesman did. I'd really like to see it on stage sometime.

    The Sopranos

I've only seen season 1, and I was more impressed with it than I was after I saw The Godfather the first time (apples and oranges I know). Will download the rest at the end of the season.

Best movies of the New Millenium

I didn't think Morgan Freeman was anything special in MDB. I agree with the criticism that he's played the identical role in every film since Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, and MDB was no exception. My favourites for supporting actor last year were Alan Alda and Thomas Haden Church.

Philip Seymour Hoffman is one of my favourite active actors. If I were the academy he would've won best supporting for Magnolia and for Happiness. However he's still young (only 38), so he's got plenty of opportunities for recognition in the future. In the meantime I'll be rooting for Bill...

Best movies of the New Millenium

What's ridiculous is how many biopics we have now as a result of their success at the oscars. This year's frontrunners for best actor are Phillip Seymour Hoffman for his Truman Capote and David Strathairn for his Edward R. Murrow. Charlize Theron is on target for a second biopic win with her...

Best movies of the New Millenium

Sideways was robbed at the Oscars last year much in the same way Lost in Translation was robbed the year before. Giamatti should've at least had a nod (over Clint Eastwood), Virginia Madsen should've won, as should the film itself. Similarly Bill Murray's was the standout performance in 2003...

    scary movie 4 news

It never ceases to amaze me how many sequels to utterly SHIT movies they can make. Sure they make money, but surely someone must feel an ounce of shame.

Me and You and Everyone we know.

I'm in the same boat (except I'm getting off at post-uni finals land). Icecreamdisco says it's quite good though.

    Best movie of the 80's

I must admit I'd never heard of The Star Wars Holiday Special until today. How did they get the actors to agree to it? Did they read the script?

    best movie of the 60's

Bit soon don't you think? We should really give 80s a go first. Anyway..come to think of it I think I've actually seen more 60s movies than 70s or maybe even 80s. Another great decade, if not for Hollywood. 1. Breathless 2. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly 3. Bonnie and Clyde 4. A Hard...
