Re: UAC booklet The two-session thing only applies for the most popular talks, or 'mini-lectures' or whatever the hell student recruitment wants to call them. It's mainly for people who are also going to the UTS open day, I think.

Universities require a UAI at or above the cutoff for the course you are applying for. The cutoffs are recalculated each year and you won't know what they are until offers are released. As an indication of what the new cutoff may be - no guarantees - last year's cutoffs are available in the UAC...

My tutor is Sharni, who actually seems competent unlike most of my tutors last sem. So that's a pleasant change. I think your summary of it is about right.

I guess one of the differences is that IR often focuses primarily on states, while geopolitics looks at a broader range of scales and actors. And places more weight on geographical issues? Could be wrong. Who's your tutor?

Re: Semester II Chatter Thread! The SRC seems to be actually campaigning on student-related issues like HECS and youth allowance this week. It's freaking me out. (But I keep seeing people with Demand A Better Future shirts on. That campaign is like so two months ago.) HSTY1088 still isn't up...

You can find numbers of students enrolled here. I'm not sure if they release pass rates.
