Its probably because your parents didnt take the AMC exam or failed it. It's hard, a family friend took it 4 times to pass to be a GP. Try googling or searching the forums for the other questions, they come up all the time.

if you love maths, do maths, not actuarial. if you want to be employed after you do your degree, do well in your degree and get some experience. forget doing something for job prospects.

many stop losses triggered in my portfolio. was margin call mania which was bad news :( unfortunately those stop losses were too low anyway. looking to build capital up by surfing the index trades lol. oh well. market will take a few weeks to recover me thinks. ftse has fallen quite a bit...

It's not as if business courses will make you a better quant anyway. Quants are usually msc/phd physics or maths people. Or engineers if they want the quants to have some social skills.

Malfoy, so you are doing 36cp each semester? That is crazy.... How did they let you? Will you be going over your credit limit for the degree or are usyd more forgiving than unsw, and actually allow you to go over the limit?

Damn, still not working. On my confirmation of enrolment. It said my password as XXXXXXXX which I assume is supposed to mask the password I wrote down on enrolment day.
