I want to showcase mine, but all hard copies of my work were deleted by a virus last night. I so glad I'd already got it printed and bound by that time.

Haha, I haven't slept for weeks. But it's done! ZOMFG! My journal which I made up the night before was so fat and full of crap that I had to use a rubber band to keep the damn thing together. I'm too scared to read my story again because I know that it's full of typos.

I pulled an all-nighter, handed it in, went home and slept. So glad it's finally over!

I'm BS the whole of July. I sat on my arse eating for the whole of July. Fucking July.

When I got it bound today a lot stack of strangers were there... who all did 4U!! We had a bit of a party. :uhhuh: I'm doing my journal now! So tired... I haven't actually slept in months.

Am I the only one still up? I've been writing my Journal all night after getting my story bound this afternoon! Up to June. :burn:

My work's the opposite, beautiful first half with plodding second half. It's just dialogue! I'm hoping they read the first half, decide it's just so brilliant and give it a 50... ignoring the second half. :)

^ I agree. When I printed it off, I was like, Holy crap, I wrote this?? I handed in both my final drafts today and I'm sitting anxiously at the computer waiting for my teacher to send it back. I only wrote the last 300 words tuesday night but the rest has been quite frantically edited.

In the resources section someone posted a list of questions that they could ask us... hope that helps. I don't have my Viva Voce until the 1st of September either. I can't forget about EE2 until then unfortunately.

When I finally hand the damn thing in I'm going to run down the corridors screaming. The Year 7s in their maths classes will just have to deal with that... And then my mum and I are going for a hot chocolate. By god, I will have earned it.

My teacher told me that my story is her favourite/most readable of the people in my class. There are four of us doing short stories. :shy:

Lol, you do readovers? I'm too ashamed even to read my story. Haha. My teacher does that for me, and I close my eyes and delete errors. Dear god.

Is there anyway you can bulk it up? They don't count the words, they can tell by the size of font and the number of pages. I don't know 300 words amongst 6000 probably won't be that noticeable?

I just did the final draft of my reflection statement... my story is edited except for one 300 word section I haven't written yet.... at all! The intricacies of it are doing my head in a little!! I've written the whole thing in the past three weeks. It's all double spaced, 35 pages long! :jaw:

Yay for us people who still haven't got a first draft. We're not all perfect. I actually work better when I do a mad dash at the end. Case in point, got 9/10 for a proposal I wrote at 4 am the morning it was due! YAY.

3 year bump. Seems to be a bit of a theme for this thread. :)

I love that book. Read it twice in a row! At the moment I'm reading 'If On a Winter's Night a Traveller' by Italo Calvino. I'm loving it but it's quite difficult. So many things happening at once!
