    how does the timetable work?

I know that you get the personalised timetable on the first day of O week. But do you pick your subjects and then the lecture and class ... or is that done automatically? and when does all this happen?

    Law?????

Guys with law just keep your options open. Don't set yourself onto the one and only course because it'll put too much stress on you. And a UAI of 99.55, 99.3 and even 97.2 is unrealistic for many people. Well most people. Just remember to achieve the best and highest UAI you can because it can...

    does yr11 flect?

The only subjects where the marks can be carried over is english and maths. In english, if you can't write essays and don't start trying till year 12 then you are at a disadvantage to other students who had diligently been practicising their essay skills. In maths, year 12 is built on year 11 so...

    Family's reaction to your UAI?

my grandma actually rang every living soul in the world. If you haven't received a call yet then expect one very soon. The fruit shop owner in a random suburb now knows my UAI. My family are really proud and totally chuffed, as am I. worked out to be a great day actually. we bought so many...

    Are you truly satisfied?

Yeh I'm really happy though I expected higher on the biology front. However I expected lower in chemistry, maths ext 2 and to some extent english. So I think the lower was over taken by the better marks. So relieved. Wish i could have gotten 97 though just because it sounds that much better :P

    Results countdown

Yeh I'm the same as Mat. I mean, when I finished my exams I thought they were ok and thought that I could get the UAI that I need. But now I've somehow convinced myself that they are going to be really really low and so now I'm really worried. This is shit.

whats the first thing u'll do after you...

Yeh my mates like that, wants to see how close she came to an asterisk so she can get her free beer. I'll probably either sit there stunned if they are really bad and wonder what went wrong. If they are good or at least what i need to get the UAI then I want then I'll sigh with relief. Then...

what if you don't get UAI you wanted?

I'm moving near the university I want to go to, so it'd suck if I don't get there. If I don't get the UAI I'll probably go to the other one and then transfer. Or do engineering or something although the hours are hectic. Lets just hope for the best shall we? ... ...

    Study Hours

just as a nice hint guys, in these christmas holidays, revise what you did this term. Make sure you know everything really well because your next set of assessments will include first term work. It helps alot if you don't have to re-learn all the last term stuff and you can concentrate on the...

    IPT Scaling

Yeh I did IPT which was my back up subject although it so obviously won't count. I would recommend if you are taking a load of really hard and time consuming subjects and you have to do 12 units. At my school you have to do 12, so I kept IPT and did absolutely no work in it. Still got average...

the cost with boarding in sydney

So next year I've been given the chance to board at a family friends place. So far they've said that the board is $100 a week including gas and electricity. I'm not sure about everything else like meals, internet etc. Does anyone else board and how much does it cost them per month or week?

Re: So Soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had a dream last night that I got 97.98 UAI (i know its not possible). Then a couple of weeks ago I had a dream that I did so well I was ranked 0 instead of 1, because I did so brilliantly. Hope those dreams are indicating something ... ...

What HSC subjects are you doing???

the only subjects you should try really hard in year 11 is maths ... and possible english by practising alot of essays. other then that dont take year 11 too seriously. your marks in year 11 can be very very differnet to year 12 so there's no point killing yourself over them.

Who else feels obscenely good about themselves?

hardly any of the exam was course based. I studied that morning and bludged the whole year and I'm hoping for above 80. It was, as someone said above, just repetition and they even told you what to write about!
