    due dates

There is actually already another thread for this - "how much have you done on your project and when is it due" - where most people have posted their due dates. Mostly they seem to be this term or the start of term 3.

Criticism Needed for Proposal...10 drafts and counting...

Nerissa and Laracroft do know each other. And everyone else who criticised laracroft were responding to her unnecessarily aggressive and nasty post. From her posts in the modern forum it really seems that laracroft is quick to attack people personally (i.e. ad hominem arguments) rather than what...

    Difference between reliability and accuracy?

Hey In-Ha, it's me Michael from your chem class. :) This is what I have accumulated from many different sheets about what accuracy and reliability are. Accuracy is how precise the experiment is. You can improve accuracy by using better apparatus (eg digital equipment, etc.)...

    Help me!!! project issues

The question doesn't have to be explicitly in the essay, but as Jennibeans says your project should show how historical interpretations have changed over time. We might be able to help more if you are a bit more specific about your topic, etc.

    Answering the Question.

I would definitely change the question. My teacher has actively encouraged us to modify the question and research proposal as we investigate the topic more.

    Chem Quiz

Estel is Aragorn's Elvish name as a kid in Lord of the Rings. Back on topic, did anyone enter the Science Challenge? Kind of like a simpler Science Olympiad.

    Chemistry Horror Stories

Nothing too drastic - we have good teachers and lab assistants. One guy set fire to a gas tap - massive 1m flame shooting out and he had no idea what to do.

    scaling of ext history??

http://www.boredofstudies.org/scaledmeans.php Ext. his scales better than everything except maths extensions and english extensions. Assuming you go pretty well - any subject will scale you down if you go below average.

Notes on Julia (Augustus' Caesar's daughter)

Yes but the 'trampiness' wasn't her idea. Augustus forced her to marry Agrippa, and Tiberius, in the hope that she would produce a male heir to carry on the principate after he died. The fact that she didn't meant he had to keep marrying her off to new guys and hope for the best. In the end...

    Major Work--Anyone doing Pearl Harbour

Yes, I am doing the failure of Washington to communicate adequately with Hawaii. My resources came from Fisher, Sutherland, and Hurstville Libraries, plus the Internet which supplied the text of the governmental investigations (ibiblio.org). The following books have been pretty helpful...

    tacitus

I'm not 100% sure but I think what that means is that by showing some people as glorious, it will contrast badly on others who aren't depicted in the same positive way. eg. Tacitus excessively glorifies Germanicus. This makes Tiberius seem worse than he really is.

Criticism Needed for Proposal...10 drafts and counting...

:D I too am a Tolkien fan.. I have actually read the book (several times - plus the Silmarillion, which was hard going) and I know that Denethor was only the Ruling Steward. It was just a first reaction - then I realised it was wrong. I realise I didn't make that clear though. :) Having read the...

    *dumb* questions on roman society

Whoa, sorry! I always assumed it was just patricians and equestrians, and tribune was the only office for plebeians. It seems like that is wrong. Visit: http://www.btinternet.com/~caractacus.bear/html/julius_2.html for some more info.

    *dumb* questions on roman society

Late reply here, but: No. Plebs couldn't become senators. It was usually just patricians, but later on it was possible for equestrians and rich provincials (basically foreign patricians) to join the Senate. Tribunes aren't senators, but they can veto senate legislation and summon the...

    need some help

No, not on "The Peloponnesian Wars" exactly. The leadup to them and the First Peloponnesian War (which was a pretty minor event) falls into the period, though, so things like the falling out between Athens and Sparta are examinable. It's basically as the topic says, 500-440. Anything that...

Babeishnes, why are you doing two personalities? That makes five topics and you only need 4.

Nerissa --> Lol. Could you post the finished proposal? I'd be interested to see a 10/10 one. BTW, when I first read your sig, I thought you were talking about Denethor :(
