yeah.. its opened all holidays i think....

i've planned out my degrees till the end, thats including what units to do for each semester... i've also planned out an alternative unit schedule if my original plan doesn't work out... i plan to finish at the end of 2006 and take 5 units each semester till then!! my majors are pretty...

you have till the end of first week of uni to put in your application.. so you got plenty of time... all you gotta be worried about is trying to get the timetable you want!!

oh when you look at it that way it makes sense... i didn't think of the workload... i was just working out how i can get thru my degree doing as less units as possible... that is to do subjects with 4cp+ each... on another note, has anyone here done any politics units? how are they...

why is it that at MQ, when you progress to 2nd and 3rd year, you still do 4 subjects each semester.. while at other uni's their 2nd and 3rd year subjects are higher credit points and they only end up doing 3 subjects per semester which is still a full time workload??

oh they're harder?? cuz i was thinking of taking another unit on this semester and changing my whole program so that all my electives are POLITICS units, which are all worth 4 credit points each....

just wondering why some units (particularly those from the efs dept), have only 3 credit points while units from other departments are worth 4??

well my advice would be to you is to do the b. commerce- accounting degree for now because you can always trasnfer again to the general degree...

i've transferred... well i put in my application... trasnfer from a single to a double... totally unrelated fields... that BIT LLB is a new course but its made up of existing courses so trasnfer criteria would be based on the existing criteria for entry into those single degrees. for law...

the area you are going to be specialising in... you know in the 200 and 300 level units how it makes you pick 2 from either HRM, Marketing, Finance, etc, etc...? yeah well those are the modules.. just pick one... i say marketing..

oh i forgot to mention, there is also a double degree, b. applied finance and b. commerce- accounting you might want to look into if your interested...

the b. commerce in accounting and finance is a single degree. it has 2 majors, of which are accounting and finance, obviously... i'm not entirely sure, but i don't think the b. commerce in accounting and finance allows for professional recognition with the CA or CPA. if you want...

yeah that site lists all the possible programs under the b.commerce.... i would think that if you decide to change your program later on, it would be as easy as changing your units, because you are not so restricted as in the specialised degrees... from what i've been told, there are no...
