    Who is going to MAQ?

Go to the psych one, just because BA is so varied and so you wont really get any specific info on it, whereas, with the psych mentors, we can answer your questions. Plus, I'm a psych mentor, as is Skittled and Cyan_Phoenix - all the sexy BoSers! :D

    Gimme suggestions

I'm planning on making some nice sweets, like cookies in the shape of hearts (love hearts, not beating hearts shaped like fists ;) ), and other such things and going to his work and surprising him on his lunch break. Then, I suppose we'll have a nice dinner somewhere. And then sex. Lots of sex. :D

    timetable

I dont have anxiety attacks as such, but I get pretty panicky, wanting to hurry up and get my classes. I'm quite frustrating to be around when it comes to enrollment. However, once again we were saved by those sexy hackors Jimmy and Rahul. This time of the year always justifies being addicted...

Grrr... you wish. You're not as original as you think you are Mister. Perhaps you should add that at the bottom of your resume to highlight your extreme desire for the job? ...Then again, maybe not: it might demonstrate a lack of technological understanding ;)

    parking permit

Rob, pay and display is in operation - dont you read those highly attractive and attention-grabbing scrolling sign thingos? ;) They always grab people in the downtimes because its easier - they dont have to walk as far and pay as much attention to the job at hand. I lost my parking virginity 3...

The "What are these units like?" thread for 2006

Hey Jamie, what psych electives are you doing?? I'm doing psychopathology and social; Steve's doing social and is undecided about his other one. I dont mind the sound of personality, but am all full in second semester.

If you were to make a magazine, what sort of magazine would it be?

Erotica. Nice artsy nudie photography. Or a newspaper, like MX, just for uni students with job vacancies, events and other fun things to do for cheap! :)

    100 level units for SOC/PSYCH

What?! No way, why did they discontinue it? It was great - sex on legs! :(

    100 level units for SOC/PSYCH

Well, she wont be allowed to do any psych units, so thats pretty much out of the question... Unless she has approval from MQ to do them. I did SOC180 (but its a 2nd semester unit) which was really great, quite laid back and easy to keep on top of. I also enjoyed ANTH106, but that workload was a...

The "What are these units like?" thread for 2006

I'll respond on behalf of my Skittled. Basically, Supra is correct - you dont have to do all of the BBA, ACCG, ACST and your decided comp unit all in first year. For example, Steve did ACST and ACCG in first year allong with Marketing and BBA102. In second year he did BBA103 and 111, and is...

    3rd year LAW

Just wanting to ask a question, and couldnt be bothered searching for the thread g2g created. Basically, with those electives in which you work at a CLC, what criteria do they allow people in on? First in best dressed, or is it a GPA thing? Hoping its not GPA - first year statistics killed me :(

    3rd year LAW

Yeah, 3 units at 4cp each, which equates to 12cp- go my terrible maths skills! :D It should say in the handbook whether you're supposed to have the same amount of cp in 3rd year as a standard arts degree.

    3rd year LAW

I'm finishing psych this year: I'm doing 16cp of psych (3 units at 4cp each) and 4 law units. I still have 3cp to use somewhere (probably on an additional law elective) from when I failed stat though.. so really I should be doing an extra 3cp somewhere....

What happens if I ignore my offer?

Well then, why did you put it as a preference? If you leave it, it will probably expire when the rounds finish... or something. I'm not sure. Ring UAC. And I fail to see why location has such a major impact upon whether you want to go or not: you either want to do your course because you want...

    3rd year LAW

Here you go, for example, take remedies for next year: http://handbook.mq.edu.au/unit.php?unitCode=LAW405. You have to do property before you do remedies, so I'm assuming its the same for each other 400-level law unit. So, if you decide not to do property now, then, be prepared for a empty year...

    3rd year LAW

Hey, well, I did, and most law students will too because its just how the law degree is laid out. But, that isnt to say you *have* to do it this year.... I understand that you want to get your arts degree finished. But think of this: if you dont do property this year, and finish your arts...

    Psychology at UNSW/USyd?

I wouldnt touch USYD psych. All the decent lecturers and researchers left USYD in the 1980's for MQ because USYD was too slack at trying to keep up-to-date with current psychological findings, and kept their preoccupation with Freud. Therefore, while USYD generally has a nice rep attached to it...
