Hi! Well I did Economics in HSC. And I believe ECON111 built on preliminary concepts as well an extension of some HSC economics. In saying that, I wasn't very good at Economics. I was no band 6'er. But I actually enjoyed ECON111. I don't know if I concentrated more. But I definitely know that my...
thanks for the advice there! Yeah and I do understand what you mean by balancing. Which is so hard to do if I want to be competitive to transfer as well. LOL but ohwells.
Having a perfect 7.0 GPA means that you would have had ALL HDs in all your units. One distinction or lower would bring you...
I'm not 100% sure about this BUT it may come down to several factors. For example, a small amount of scaling could have been involved. And as they say, your SNG is not necessarily reflected of your raw mark, rather it is a grade. So yeah.
Hi guys,
My preferred timetable for sem 2 might have a conflicting tute and lecture. Essentially, I plan to attend the first half of the lecture and go to my tute after. I will then catch up with the lecture on ilearn.
I was wondering if this is permissible. Am I allowed to have my timetable...
Btw, can I just ask, why do you only have 2 subjects? :P
I myself only have 3 GRADED subjects but my "Foundations of Law" unit is a pass or fail/ungraded unit. I passed but I don't get any numerical figure and it doesn't count to my GPA whatsover.
Yeah! I'm happy that I was able to maintain a 4.0 in my first sem at uni. But yes, that will surely decline in my 5 years here xD But in all honesty, transferring uni's may be a possibility for me. Thus, I'm assuming that they will standardise all university GPAs and will covert my Macquarie GPA...
Wow! Congrats on such solid results! I hope I'll have enough motivation to have law grades like yours once I start doing those units. I've currently finished by Foundations of Law unit. It was really boring though :( I hope second sem law is more towards my liking :)
Hi! Wow you got similar results to me. I got 1 HD and 2 Ds. I guess im alright with it. But i knew i ciuld have done better, for several reasons. But apart from that i cant complain. Im content. I just need to get dem straight HDs next sem :) (hopefully)
Hi!
It's my first sem, and out of the subjects you mentioned, I only done ECON111. From my experience, I can confidently say that for most people, the math is very minimal in this subject. I believe calculations only truly come into play when you are finding elasticity (if I recall). However...
Hey Guys,
Well many uni's have their own threads, so I decided to make one for Mac.
I hope everyone is pleased and/or fine with their first semester results! And that your efforts are reflected in it (of course if it was higher, then there should be no complains :P). Post your...
Hi Guys,
I'm interested in transferring universities by the start of next year. Essentially, I want to know a few things:
1. How do the other universities/UAC (i have no idea which one), receive our GPA?
Would we have to provide that in our UAC application by actually typing it in/attaching...
Yeah I know GPA is a week measure, which is why I would have liked it to be WAM. But on their website, it says GPA specifically.
But anyways, do you know anything about NRSL cuttoffs?
Well i know that. But i was also asking if there was any background information that i was missing. So essentially, no I'm not entirely answering my question.
Is a GPA of 6.0 basically JUST hitting the distinction average borderline? Or is it mid distinction average?
And I've been researching NRSLs. Does this mean that getting an ATAR of 97 and GPA of 6.0 equates to (97+96)/2= 96.5 NRSL?thanks!
Hey guys,
I am doing a combined law/commerce degree, and may consider trasnferring to USYD law/commerce next year (after 1 year of uni). Basically, the issue for me, is whether my commerce units will be credited to my commerce degree in USYD. This is because on USYD's business school website...
Hi guys,
I'm studying a combined law degree and want to study law in UNSW next year (after my first yr of uni). I know that UNSW has implemented an INTERNAL law transfer program as of 2013, giving the opportunity for a minimum of 100 UNSW students to transfer into Law, permitted they have met...
Thanks for the input Blizane! Yes, I agree totally in 'trying your best and good results will follow'. I'm surely going to follow that recommendation of viewing my examination.
