    Selecting Science Electives Interstate?

if you refer to my post about enrolment, all first year students need to physically be available in canberra to get their enrolments approved. this is so idiot actuary students (or some other hard degree) don't go LOL I'M GONNA PICK ALL ART SUBJECTS AND GET AN ACTUARY DEGREE LOL and end up...

Yet another what to bring to uni thread

they don't take any info down, it's all on computer. i think the idea was UAC sends all uni's the information, which your school sends them... so when you look at it... it's an extremely smooth process (kindy -> university) :) at enrolment day you bring an enrolment piece of paper (you should...

no to the first question... to the second, yeah civic pool (outdoor), or belconnen's gym/pool. the latter is like a 15 minute bus trip away and it's pretty good i've heard.

some people who live at home leak stuff onto the internal network, i would think. if only i had a laptop. i probably have (collectively) 1 terabyte of TV shows and movies, plus 100Gb or so of MP3s (anyone like metal/80's-90's rock?)

damn, that sucks. if you really wanted to get into ANU apply for Arts/commerce or something requiring 75 and get in on the second round. apply to change to law in your second year. what will happen is the 6 units you did will get credited as electives. the other 2, if you choose to do law...

Yet another what to bring to uni thread

bikes tend to be common among law kids because the law faculties tend to be a relatively long distance from the heart of the campus (where the manning clark theatres are - where i'd say 80% of first year units are taught). my advice - just get a cheap one such that it wouldn't result in the...

yep. seeing as you're a chick and i'm stereotyping here... but all of the three large (3 stories) Westfields here are linked by a bus (that runs past ANU) that runs every 10 minutes - the 300 and 100 series. all it costs is $1.50 per ride and you can catch as many buses as you like in 90 minutes...

    anyone living off campus?

i'm living off campus since i'm a local student and i'm loving it. i always recommend people to get together and share a house/apartment nearby ANU. :uhhuh: (not that canberra is big... ANU is probably 15 minutes away max, from any point in canberra)

don't mean to be a bastard but the server load on the UAC's site will probably render it useless at 9pm.

Do we need a laptop for classes?

that's fucked up. personally i believe having access to "normal" broadband is a strong factor in deciding my place of residence. if an apartment's rent is $400 per week and could not get broadband and another cost $500, i'd take the latter without thinking for a second. actually i think i...
