Do we need a laptop for classes?

they don't charge you but rather cut your internet off when you go over the quota. and yes you do log into the computer. 2.5c per mb? that's $25 per gig... what a freaking rort. if it were me i would choose to get my own ISP if that's possible, and if not i would choose another place to live.

    ANU PhB Science vs Sydney

re: scheduling lectures... you can cherry-pick units you want to do based on their convenience due to the high flexibility of phB. but to be honest, if you have your mind set on chemistry and not doing it just because it has a shitty time seems stupid. other than that you can make sure...

Do we need a laptop for classes?

when you connect to the ANU wireless network you type in your uni login/password. after that any sites you visit (not on the ANU network) chips off your 80 megabyte limit (topped at 10 mbit nightly). makes me wonder how guys living on campus could tolerate an 80 meg quota  (do/can you guys...

    ANU course enquiries

essentially yes, but it has a large research component aswell. you also get much greater flexibility, a personal mentor (usually a professor) you speak with weekly, and it "fast-tracks" you into getting a PHD.

    Information Technology

true. what these students don't realise is the UAI isn't just a number that allows you to get in. it's also a resemblance of the difficulty of the course and how well a student may cope. i.e. there's no point a student with a 75 should enrol in law (95), even if they can, as they'll most likely...

    Information Technology

*blinks* pretty sure the minimum UAI for ANU was 83 for 2006 entry. to be honest i think these cutoffs are arbitrarily set and aren't very dependant on supply/demand like they are at other universities.
