I presume you mean 72 and 80 for MX2 and MX1 respectively, since otherwise there's no way you would have gotten over about 50... If you get the EAS, then I guess you can get in.

Have you checked if you qualify for a bonus points scheme of some sort? (And as mentioned, keep your 1st preference as your first preference - just make sure you have some backup preferences that you're sure you can get into.)
