He meant "aligned" not scaled. ;) Aligning is what BOS does to convert raw exam marks into your HSC exam/assessment marks. Scaling is what UAC does to calculate your UAI so that 90 in Gen. Maths is weighted differently to 90 in MX2.

Don't underestimate MBBS at UNSW/UWS just because of the cut. Only in extremely rare and exceptional case do people with those UAIs get admitted. Rumour has last year's average UAI for UNSW MBBS as 99.70.

As above, USYD doesn't offer undergraduate medicine. But keep the BX/MBBS combined program in mind (and on UAC list), just in case.
