Clarification ;) - I believe you can do more than 6 units of science, however for the purposes of determining eligibility for the award of the HSC, only 6 units will be counted.

BoS requires that the principal certify you as having completed the Preliminary course. I believe the deadline for filing Prelim entries for 2008 has already well and truly gone. Besides, I hear Legal gets a lot better when you do Crime.

Getting a Band 6 in subjects like General Maths is difficult, but of course, not impossible. You'll need to work pretty hard though. Also, remember that 2U Maths does scale higher than General anyway, so getting a worse HSC mark in 2U than if you did General doesn't necessarily mean your UAI...

Actually, my workload has been less so far than last term, and I've picked up MX2. I haven't had much by way of homework for anything except Maths 2/3/4U, but then again it's been like that all year.

I'd suggest you try doing 13 units for a while; see how you feel at the end of this term, then reconsider if you want to drop anything.

The only part of the HSC process where your classmates directly affect your results is in assessment moderation. Really, if you want good marks, you just have to work hard yourself - you can't do too much about other students who suck at everything.

Prelim or HSC? Your sig seems to indicate you don't do Legal, at least not now. (OT: Legal is the only subject I've had so far where the HSC textbook is thinner than the Prelim textbook.)

Well, do you think doing Photography is taking away significantly from studies for your other subjects? Also, I'm not sure what photography businesses look for when hiring people, but if you end up not going to uni having the course on your HSC could be a good thing.

Well, you could have people doing 14 units.

I've got 4 in MX1, and 3 in MX2. It's good; we all get along pretty well. Once you get about 7-8 people then there's less individual attention.

I only use that as a semi-derogatory nickname for him :P (Yes, we know each other.)
