    Asian studies for Asians?

You MUST do the language. Quite a few Cantonese speakers take the course, but can you imagine learning something that you already know for the next three years? The language in the first year is also 12 credit points, which means that it will take up half of your subjects instead of one quarter...

    B. Law

My ethics lecturer was terrible, he shoved a 15 page guide to "Non-violent protest" into our reading brick just for the hell of it.

Uni Advice - UOW or move to Usyd?

Really, why? WOW, AWARDS. AWARDS ARE REALLY INDICITIVE OF THE QUALITY OF A UNIVERSITY. Since you brought this point up, how many Nobel prizes have gong lecturers won, seriously (again, while I know that these don't indicate the teaching quality at all in undergrad law, you opened the door)...

Uni Advice - UOW or move to Usyd?

I think you have, because I remember quite clearly saying I contend that a grade of students, the majority of which got over 99.6 would on the whole be brighter than a cohort of students who on the whole got around 88-93. My university was the highest Go8 at around 4th.

Uni Advice - UOW or move to Usyd?

That's like saying that the only difference between Harvard Law and Sydney Law is prestige. Quite a few people seem desperate to make empty assumptions like, "ZOMG ONLY DIFFERENCE IS PRESTIGE" or base their advice upon one very questionable teaching quality survery. ACCORDING TO THE POLL THAT SO...

    UQ vs ANU

2 courses (half the normal load of 4) is considered as being part time. Single and combined degrees have the same standard load of 4 courses each semester, combined degrees just take a year or two longer. If I were you, I'd try taking a full load in your first semester to see if you can cope...

    Arts/Law at ANU?

Personally I love law (excluding courses like International Law :)). Different people enjoy different things though, and why try it based upon what others think would be good for you? Then again, if you have the UAI and don't know what else you're interested in, why not take law for a year? What...

She'd probably do the graduate stream if she did. I know at ANU you can drop down to straight law. I can't imagne any university forcing you to study two degrees.

    UQ vs ANU

Acton IS the university :). Phillip is in Woden, one of the three major centres in Canberra, and you can get to Woden by bus from outside the colleges. It's not too far away, and is just south of the lake (ANU is on the north side). I think he means tutoring by sticking ads up. Though, you may...
