Case and point. There's not that many people compared to the state that would even come close to reaching the Olympiad level for Mathematics. Most are from the top 10 selective schools as it is so I don't see it as a problem.
I wouldn't mind. There's not that many of them out there, if anything there's hardly any. Those that are that good are part of the few who represent Aus in the Math Olympiads. Not concerned about that.
I learnt a few fancy words which is not a large difference. Either way reading a book is a much more effective way to increase your vocabulary and doesn't require you to sit through analyzing techniques and what not.
No it's not. What proof is there that it is relevant to majority of jobs? Pretty much no one in STEM uses English and that makes up a very large chunk of the workforce. The only remaining things are Medicine, Law Art etc where English would be useful.
As for this. Many students have their atar...
1) Analysing texts and writing essays on it has no relevance to my career in computer science. I can verify English has not at all helped directly or indirectly in applying for any internships and what not.
2)I could speak English very well without the need of HSC English. It has done nothing...
I don't know about the graduation thing because some people do graduate/leave in year 10 if that's what they want so it wouldn't really matter. However you can't move into year 11 or move onto the next grade if you have an N award. I know people who were forced to repeat because they had N...
Stay aware of everyone around you at all times. I frequently look back and around myself whenever I'm at any unfamiliar location. Memorize all the nearest exits everywhere you go etc etc.
You can definitely balance work and uni. Most people do it. You might have to skip some lectures here and there or if your like me and don't attend lectures it won't make a difference. Either way everything is or should be online.
As for this yeah even I don't attend any late lectures. If you...
Nope. The more the better but don't document any trivial changes. Like don't write stuff like "replaced bulb because the other one broke". Make sure it's concise and a few images for proof would be a good addition.
I mean it's pretty self explanatory. Just make a table with the dates of when you worked on the project and what you did. Maybe even a photo here and there to show the progress?
Yeah unsw is stressful. Everyone goes through that crap ton of work in first year where it feels like your drowning. I was the same but it’s easier now that I’m used to it.
The answers to those maple quizzes for all the weeks are actually online. There’s a Dropbox with them all and I think it’s...
Forgot the review. I study Computer Science but it's basically the same thing.
I have a long as travel time as well and yeah it tires you out but since all the lectures are uploaded online I only go one or two day a week and that's for my tutorials for Comp Sci. I don't even need to attend...
