    Projectile Motion Question (Different One)

Obviously it's more than just subbing into formulae (duh!!!). But my point was that Mathematics doesn't split it into x and y component, and yes it's much harder as it involves differentiation, intergration, logs and all sorts of other crap.

    Maths - Integration

Maths in Focus - LOL!! Out of all my textbooks I don't have a single one that splits Series into 'Series 1' and 'Series 2'. Some of the methods shown in the Maths In Focus book are horrible, there are much faster and error-free methods of doing things. And for 3D trig, I don't think Maths In...

Where do you reckon is the best suburb to live in Sydney?

At the moment, I love living in Sydney CBD as everything is pretty central. I've also lived at near Rose Bay and if you don't have a car then you either need to walk to Bondi Junction or Edgecliff Station, or take a bus which seems nonexistant at most times, so if you don't have a car, it's not...

    wtf?

Re: help again last time 2day Or if you use the general quadratic formula you get: x=[-6(+/-)sqrt205]/10 Hopefully I've done that one correctly haha.

    wtf?

Re: help again last time 2day Hi, I took away (6/5)2 instead of (6/10)2 That *should* be correct now

    Prelim Star Nuclear Reaction Help

Hi guys, Basically the prelim year is over, and my teacher who is clueless about anything set us this 'Assignment' to complete over the holidays, and basically we haven't done anything about this crap, and I don't want to learn it as I have bigger and better things to be worried about (ie HSC)...

    wtf?

Re: help again last time 2day To complete the square: 5x2+6x-9=0 Therefore x2+(6/5)x-(9/5)=0 (x+6/10)2-(36/100)-(9/5)=0 (x+6/10)2=216/100 (x+6/10)=+/-sqrt(216/100) That should be correct, unless I've stuffed up somewhere.

    Projectile Motion Question (Different One)

Well with Physics projectile motion, you seperate the x and y components. With Maths Ext 1 projectile motion, you just sub into formulas. However, I think you can't get maximum marks if you use Maths Ext 1 projectile motion methods for Physics and vice versa. I'm not sure though, I'll ask one...

    Projectile Motion Question (Different One)

Oh okay, thank you... Just wondering though, I used the formulas below and got A, what did I do wrong? Δy=uyt+(1/2)ayt2 To get t, I used tup=(usinθ)/g Thanks, Jason

    Projectile Motion Question (Different One)

Hi, I have a question for time dilation. I think the answers may be wrong which is why I'm posting it here. Please do show me how you got to your answers etc. Thanks =D Thanks, Jason

    aircon trains

That may have been a Millenium. It was probably when there was trackwork on Sector 2. How did you know it was an OSCAR? Did it have an onboard toilet? When did you ride it?

    Orbital Velocity Question

Hi again, I have another question. I'm not given the mass of the primary for this one, so if you could help me that'd be great. "Geostationary satellites orbit with a radius of 42 260km. Use this information to find: a) The period of a staelittle which orbits with a radius of 15 000km b) The...

    Orbital Velocity Question

Hello all, I have an orbital velocity question. I think the back of the book is wrong, so I'll post my answer and the book's answer aswell. "Calculate the orbital velocity of the Earth around the Sun given the mass of the Sun is 1.99*1030kg, and its diameter is 1 392 530km. The mass of the...

    aircon trains

That's an OSCAR, NOT a Millenium. OSCARs are still being made as far as I know -- I think there are 22x4 car sets as of now IIRC. They should be more delivered soon.

    G force question

Oh okay. Thank you :) So as g forces = apparant weight/true weight, is the 'true weight' always the weight experienced on Earth?

    G force question

Yep, 2.75 is correct according to the back of the book. Can you please tell me how you got to that? Thanks, Jason

    G force question

Hi all, I have a question - "A rocket is accelerating from between Mars and Jupiter at 26.95ms-2. Calculate g-force on a 60kg astronaut. I'm really stuck on this, please show me how you got the the answer. Thanks, Jason

    aircon trains

The silver sets with aircon and irreversible seating? They're C sets. They were made around 1989 due to the delay in the delivery of the Tangara fleet. You like the seating? I personally hate 'Tangara style' seating, although having irreversible seating does make the train lighter, which does...

    DET Portal

It works in all of my classrooms. Yeah they are filtered a bit, but we can still access hotmail, gmail, myspace, facebook, and Youtube. Youtube was once blocked due to too many people using it, but the "Senior School Committee" demanded it to be unblocked because it was an 'educational...
