LMAO at the labor party (its makin' itself low)

Yup, allowing people to waive the vote really sounds like the way to go.

LMAO at the labor party (its makin' itself low)

As I said, I won't argue your suggestion of education in civics - I think it's a good idea, though *I think* that kids who do the school certificate are now getting two years of civics rolled into their geography and history courses. To be honest though, as I said before, voting should not be...

LMAO at the labor party (its makin' itself low)

I won't dispute that. Though there is a large difference between "very little confiendence in 'the people' when they vote." and education. If it's education you're proposing, I'm all for it. ;)

Bullied Pupil Sues School for Damages

I think it's interesting that violence within schools seems to be treated on a completely different level to battery in a general sense. It's almost given a "boys will be boys" attitude. "We expect bullying matters to be resolved inside schools through the welfare and discipline policies,"...

LMAO at the labor party (its makin' itself low)

IMO it swings both ways, but the obvious solution is to allow people to waive their vote, like in America. So? We've become a little red-centric have we? So asqy, do we need someone to decide for the people now...?

    Low Unemployment or Not?

Its amazing how often I hear this, usually from people who don't have the iniative to even apply. There are two routes you can take with youth allowance, three really. One of them isn't means tested.

    Low Unemployment or Not?

    - Unemployment amongst young people is obviously higher than the norm, as is unemployment in regional areas (if you live in Newcastle, Wollongong, or Canberra.) - Use the Careers centre at your uni. - Apply for youth allowance, there is no good reason not to. Oh btw, if you didn't get a job...

Australia's position within the Pacific region...

"We are going to refuse your aid until you say sorry." If only the Aborigines did the same thing. Personally I think it's a bit of a fiasco, but as the article says, an apology for maintaining security is inappropriate.

    monetary value of human life?

As I said, insurance :p. Person X died, he's worth Z amount of money, here you go widow Y.

    monetary value of human life?

Insurance perhaps? Though, it's probably better to apply a subjective standard. Assuming that human life has a value, different people will have a different value. We aren't communists.

Can I Believe In God In My Own Way?

There is sex, sex is pretty cool and it doesn't seem right to just lump it in with living. Besides Inasero, assuming there is such a thing as a soul, Christians sell it for immortality. Now isn't that foul or what?
