The BOS HSC Workshop (Poll included)

It sounds awesome but my parents aren't going to pay $99 I don't think :(

    The HSC: An Environmental Hazard?

I finished an entire folder (full of sheets and my notes from school) for Bio, Chem and almost PDHPE in term 4. But ask our school's ancient history class, the teacher had to PRINT OFF their textbook because our school is poor and buys the captain's new blazers and useless musical instruments...

Looking forward to going back to school for one reason....

I want to see my friends.... and also I want to do school work (as bad as it sounds), I've lost all motivation. It'll be funny seeing some of the Year 11s stress out, but even less when we are stress because this year actually matters.

    School tomorrow!

It's just school but I'm a little concerned with the amount (or lack of) work I got done these holidays, I feel so guilty.

How much study do u do in Holidays?

Re: so whos done homework these holidays? Don't worry I am the exact same, I had solid 2/3 weeks at one stage now I just can't be bothered to do anything and it's really worrying me. Maybe it is related to the fact I am waking up at 2pm.....

    most effective horror movie

Hmmm I just don't find movies with a lot of gore and the occasionally "jumpy" scene scary... most of the time they look really trashy. I would say Saw 1 and 2 are pretty effective horror movies but The Shining tops them for sure.

English is a waste of life.

There is far too much bias on this website to have an intelligent conversation about this issue. However one can not disregard the fact that English is our national language. The English syllabus incorporates many important elements such as speech delivery, writing essays and critical responses...

Yes! That is a great novel, I read it a few years back and I am definitely going to use it as a related text.

    Love or Lust

Not PHYSICALLY more mature but like emotionally and mentally more mature. But I agree, the legal age is much more of a guideline than anything, it's not like the day you turn 16 your body suddenly is able to have sex.

    Love or Lust

Trust me on this, the legal age does not mean a thing, heaps of kids today have sex before they are 16 and most couldn't care less. That been said I think it is a personal thing to do with ones maturity, I mean some 14 year old are more mature than some 18 year olds. And really if you turn 16...

    Quick Question.

The second would be slightly safer in case you bomb out in exams, however if you did well both are exactly the same imo.

    Best Chemistry Textbooks/Guides

Re: Best Chemistry Textbooks/Guides? The layout has the syllabus dot point and then has all the information relating to that dot point below it. I find it extremely useful. However I picked up Surfing Chemistry the other day and that is also pretty good, although it's severely overpriced for...

James Ruse are cheaters and the BOS do not care.

I think it's a bit ridiculous to say that Ruse is the ONLY school to start HSC work early... Does anyone on here realise how many schools do that? There was an old Prelim thread last year where heaps of people said that there school start HSC work early (one student even said they had completed...

    Maximising the benefits of procrastination

Playing Sims 2 could assist in understanding family dynamics for those doing Community and Family Studies?? I would be a pro at the subject if that was fact :D

Do you have a locker at your school

    Missing the pill?

How does missing the pill have to do with love and relationships?

    How detailed are your notes?

Well the guy who I duxed Year 11 with does that. He has been the smartest kid in the year from Year 7 and he just reads for his subjects, he told me that he doesn't remember stuff when he writes notes.

Best+Worst of Teacher Quotes and Habits

Apparently in the Food Tech class two girls were insulting each other (jokingly) and: Student: "Do you want to fight me?" Teacher: "I'll get the jelly!"
