The TPC doesn't offer HSC subjects. Some may have similar content however.

    three is a magic number!

Ohk, yeah I'm not keen on telecomm either, just applied for everything lol. Luckily I landed a perm casual position at a surf shop :). It's 40 mins drive away, but lots of fun. Good luck either if you take the job or not :)

    UAC is a fraud!

What evidence do you have to base on this? That's a ridiculous claim. You didn't perform well against other students in your HSC, oh well - find another way to get to what you want to do.

    three is a magic number!

Ahhh, that's crazy! What store were they trying to put you in? They kept trying to put me in Chatswood, ugh. I reckon go for 3, you obviously have an interest in telecommunications. I would assume it'd be around the 20 dollar mark? adnan, try looking on seek.com.au or on careerone.com.au...

    who here works two jobs?

I work at a surf shop primarily and do promo work in my time off...the promo work I do is through my ABN though, instead of a TFN. It can be annoying when my shifts clash with a job, but workable.

    three is a magic number!

I was offered a job at a Telstra shop, but I turned it down as they couldn't place me in a store which wasn't on the other side of Sydney. I was offered around the $21 mark (I'm 20), but that was a contract rate, not casual.

Anyone working on the upcoming public holidays?

I was only asking other forumers a simple question. I am appreciative of the shifts I am getting, but seeing as I'm currently working 7 days a week except for Christmas I was looking forward to some time off. Take your bitchy attitude elsewhere or STFU.

Anyone working on the upcoming public holidays?

Is stores opening on new years day a new thing? I could have sworn last year all the shops in my area were shut, no matter what size. This year they're all open! I'm working 11 - 3, and am the only staff member besides the managers. God damn I hope the penalty rate is huge and there's no...

what percentage do u need to pass uni?

P's don't get you undergrads with distinction, or into honours. Credits to me, are passes. I get disappointed with below a distinction. But then again, I want to go onto honours and post-grad.

    waitering/waitressing

I waitressed for two months and hated it lol. You really need steady hands to carry a lot of dishes, but that comes with practice. If you're in a smaller restaurant or cafe, be prepared to learn barista skills and wash up dishes as well to help out. A lot of restaurants require an RSA to serve...

what if you don't get UAI you wanted?

Lol, and you guys are stressing about your HSC. Once you get into uni, that number wont matter and you'll all have moved onto worrying about semester results :P. Good luck, but remember there are many ways of getting into the course you want (doing another course and transferring, tertiary...

    Cannot get job anywhere

^ Have you looked in the positions vacant of your local newspaper? A lot of students tend to overlook newspapers for online and in person applications but they're a really valuable place to look. 3 of my 4 jobs in retail have been gained through local newspaper ads.
