I assume you've finished university right? If you haven't, then it's your mistake for saying that you have a HECS debt because currently you don't. If you have, then I have no idea :)

Aviation is either practical i.e. you learn to fly or Aviation Management. If you're not really passionate about flying then I'd wouldn't recommend you do it, it's a lot of hard work and very expensive.

I don't know specifically about electives for your course but for mine they can be anything I want. All tutorials are the same. Select one that fits best with your timetable. No idea. I'd imagine it's yearly though. If it says Lecture X OR Lecture Y then you can go to either of them...
