I don't think you can enrol in ACTL courses in your first year...

You can pick a random subject from a different faculty (and then transfer it under general education if you're doing a single degree after your first year, but do ask the faculty before hand just in case) or a random business subject as a random business elective. And no, you don't have to know...

That's okai, heh. I haven't been doing Japanese long at all. I've only started Japanese in uni. So roughly speaking, it's been a year. :P Where are you thinking of going? :)

Not necessarily. You can have a 75 WAM with a 5.xx GPA. It depends on your marks for the individual subjects (such as high D vs. low D etc.)

I'm not sure about the GPA's... but I had a friend who had a 75 WAM and got into commerce.

I thought exchange and study abroad is similar in terms of doing it with the university. But in general, exchange basically refers to a short period of time anywhere from a couple of weeks to a year where you undertake a program to go to a school/university overseas to have cultural/language...

I had a credit average last year (with a uai probably lower than yours :P) and got transferred into b.eco this year. So I'd imagine that it'd be based on the higher one and in my case (or yours), it will be first year results. For b.commerce, I think you might need to achieve a distinction...

I don't see why it can't be put in your resume. Different employers look for different things, but have gone on exchange would mean you are independant and mature because you had to live on your own in a different country... It can't be bad, right?

Oh, in that case I'm not sure. But you can contact the US embassy in Aust or your desired US university regarding on their scholarships and requirements for international students? I'm sure they ought to offer some. =) Good luck.
