Depends what you're better at. If you like composing a lot, or you get lots of musical ideas, then go for composition. Otherwise choose performance, unless the instrument you play doesn't have much repertoire :)

Lol, totally agree with you there, I go crazy even when I listen to baroque pieces that sound a semitone off. Don't really like playing brass all that much... give me keys or strings anyday :P

Usually I did 2-3 hours on weeknights (cos of homework and all) and then 3-4 on weekends. But since I've finished, I'm not really learning any pieces, so now I play about 30 mins to an hour each day, if I can be bothered ;)

For Amus, you need to have a program of 4 pieces, which you choose from the syllabus. The times depend on which pieces you choose, but usually you have to play a whole sonata by a classical composer, so your program would be at least 20 minutes? Not too sure. You don't need to prepare scales...

OTH is strangely very addictive. I never really got into the OC but OTH had me hooked right from the beginning, even though they're both teen dramas. Maybe it's cos of Chad's presence. With the hair, he is such a hunk ^^
