I'm not very techy so I'm having trouble finding a good laptop amongst the millions of them out there.
A few things I need are:
-4-8 GB of RAM
-wi-fi
-good battery life
-500 GB hard-drive
-light weight- i.e. less than 1.5kg
-price under 1000
Any suggestions are appreciated :)
EDIT: sorry...
When you admitted you liked me and asked me out I said no because I didn't like you. Truth is I did, I was just scared of starting something serious. Now I wish I could take it all back because I can't stop thinking about you. I want to ask for a second chance but I'm worried you've moved on.
Anything that is listed as "text" is a text you'll have to have. If it says "recommended" you don't particularly need it but it may be advantageous for assignments, tests, etc.
I'd recommend buying second hand because you'll save a lot of money. This site is fantastic...
Yer i'd recommend trying to swap and see if that works. From your pics it looks like they randomly added a tutorial in there for phys 1205....
Seriously though it's really odd that that happened to you. Must be a glitch in the system or something.
It looks like you enrolled in two of your subjects twice- you've got a double up for phys 1205 tute and surv 1110 prac. If you go in to my hub and click on enrolment, then "drop" you should be able to drop the duplicated subject. It happened to a friend of mine when she selected the same thing...
At my school they allowed people to move up from standard to advanced but only during the first few weeks of prelim. One of my friends managed to move up but they did check her school cert results first. I guess it varies school to school
That's a fair move from the Gold coast to Newcastle. I'm a local here so of course I know a few people, though none doing my course. Newcastle is a pretty cool place I'm sure you'll love it. There's a few good beaches and an alright night-life too. If you've got any questions feel free to ask :)
No worries :) I'll be studying psychology and I can't wait! Although I must admit I'm a little bit nervous cause it's going to be a whole new atmosphere compared to school.
What about you?
Your PIES session is not compulsory it just provides you with some extra info about enrolling, program requirements, etc. You'll definitely still be able to enrol online yourself.

You have to create your full myHub account first. Just log in as you have been doing, with your uac number and birthdate. Then click on student log in details and it will give you your student number, new password and program code (from memory). You'll have to follow a few prompts in order to...
Yer I thought for sure there would be more of us....
I'm going to the Callaghan campus. Can anyone tell me, are the mosquitoes as bad as some of my friends are saying? Apparently newy uni is filled with them :/
I definitely agree. E.g. our trial question was along the lines of "Discuss.....encouraging cooperation and resolving conflict in relation to world order". In this question I talked about the issue of Global Cooperation, in regards to East Timor as a successful attempt at encouraging cooperation...
There are two main categories of International Crime:
1) Crimes against the international community- those that are so serious that they are widely condemned by the majority of states e.g. war crimes, genocide case= Hitler
2) Transnational Crimes- crimes that involve the crossing of state...
Actually law reform is part of the syllabus.
One of the themes and challenges is "the role of law reform in protecting human rights".
Not really sure what I'd do if this came up. I'd probably just relate this to the development section anyway along with how Australia has attempted to...
If the HR one is on the development section I'll be stuffed. Literally.
I love the contemporary issue, I'm doing child soldiers. It's really easy to talk about the responses :) Though, considering it's been in both the specimen and trial paper it look unlikely we'll get it
