Use textbook exchange - its a great website where youc an buy and sell textbooks and you can usually save atleast 30% on the RRP. it's totally free and last year it saved me about $200 or so www.textbookexchange.com.au

trust me- you dont want to travel! i did it this year and it was horrible! start looking for accommadation asap- just check on the net for rental properties etc and head up to the uni... there is always posters around on notice boards and poles with share accommodation available. ask around...

Sorry, but could anyone tell me if the $250 deposit is refundable if i get an offer for another uni in the late round? the fees statement thingy that you have to agree to wont work properky and keeps freezing, and i cant find it anywhere else. Thanks heaps

thats what i though aswell (about the no vacancies) but some people might decline or defer so theres a slim chance. there are a few small differences in terms of units offered which dont suit my interests between the 2 uni's. NSW will be ok still, i'd just really prefer sydney because its a lot...

for the major acaemic awardthat i got, they gave me a clock with my name and the name of the award engraved on it. not exactly something that you would want but i cant complain i guess... it's more than just a piece of paper :)
