UTS Semester 1 2006 Timetables and Subjects

Re: 2006 Timetable and Subjects Old man river, you can check your timetable on UTS online. Go to: www.uts.edu.au/onestop/studentadmin/ and follow the links to the timetable service. You type in your subject codes and it will tell you when you have lectures/tuts/seminars etc. Ofcourse, your...

UTS Semester 1 2006 Timetables and Subjects

Re: 2006 Timetable and Subjects I don't have any law subjects this semester, only Communications (Journalism) ones. This is hopefully my timetable if all my preferences work out: Monday: 9am - 1pm (Communication & Information Environments) Tuesday: 9am - 11:30am (Power & Change)...

    UTS: Law Orientation Camp

Haha, I'm taking my mobile too. There's no way I'm going to a 'mystery location' without it!

    My Student Admin

I enrolled on Wednesday and it said the same thing on my form. The reason why is that the computer systems weren't updated recently - the last time they were was when we were still doing the HSC, thus we hadn't 'completed it'. Don't worry about it, it's just a technical error, and its the same...

    UTS: Law Orientation Camp

I'm going. It will be nice to have an alcohol detox for three days after two months of excessive partying. Plus it would be nice to meet the people that I'll be going to uni with for the next five years... I don't see why everyone is so averse to it?

    enrolment

Yep, you have to enrol for both semesters - or so I did today.

    ladies at uts

Re: babes at CoFA I'm not asian, a lot of my friends aren't asian, and we're going to UTS. I'd say it'd be a 60-65% average.

UAC main-round offers; what'd you get?

Sweets - are you doing my course too? Awesome, you're the first person I know of who is! Casmira - Dream on ;)

    general maths v 2 unit

I'll make it really nice and simple: I'm in a group of about 10 girls at school, and I was the only one who did General Maths - they all did 2Unit. We are all smart - we go to a selective school. I got the highest UAI in my group - 99.00 - and everyone else's ranged between 91 - 98.05...

UAC main-round offers; what'd you get?

B Laws/BA Communication (Journalism) at UTS Cut-off: 97 My UAI: 99.00 I'm really happy, even though I had Combined Law at UNSW as my first pref.

    How do we enrol

I hope you can do it on the Internet 'cos my friends and I are going to be away when the offers are released.

    University Fees

If you want to transfer, it's incredibly competitive, as you are not only competing against other DFEE students, but also CSP students. They take into account two things: your UAI and generally whether you have averaged distinctions in the course. If you are planning on paying fees, don't...

    26hrs...

I'm dying to do Combined Law at UNSW, but these days, a UAI of 99 doesn't guarantee you anything... a very sad fact. I've been making last minute changes to all my preferences, it's such a difficult decision to make!

HSC in 2006. Are these subjects going to scale me down?

Don't worry about scaling... I got 93 in General Maths and 88 in English Extension - General Maths counted towards my UAI instead of extension, and gave me a UAI of 99.00.

hooz uai was unbearably close but below the uai cut-off

I haven't heard of specific cases, but I have talked to people who 'know other people' who have been let in, despite lower marks. I personally received a UAI of 99.00, and the cut-off for combined law at UNSW was 99.15 last year, which is a bit of a bummer - but I'll see what happens. If not...

Your SC marks vs your HSc marks which did you do better in ?

Ha! I didn't do that great in the SC but I aced the HSC - I didn't pick up a book before year twelve though, so that's explainable. SC: English (83), Maths (85), History (87), Science (89), Geography (91) HSC: English (91), Maths (93), Business Studies (94), Ancient History (95), Economics...

What didn't count in your UAI calculation?

I got: Eco - 97 English - 91 Business Studies - 94 Ancient History - 95 General Maths - 93 History Extension - 49 English Extension - 44 Interestingly... English Extension didn't count! One unit of General Maths contributed to my UAI instead - considering there's only a five mark...

hooz uai was unbearably close but below the uai cut-off

Geez what's with the critical analysis of 9odspeed's spelling style? Get over it... I wouldn't worry about the one point - I personally think UAI cut-off's will drop somewhat this year due to UAI's on the whole falling.
