Can someone advise me on how ING works.. e.g how do I set an account up (all I have is a Debit (Savings) account with the ANZ bank).. how I transfer money into the account.. how I can get money out.. how often they pay you interest... any fees and charges etc. :)

you go to the ING website, and print out the form once you've filled in your details. you then have to send off the form to link your new ING account to your savings account.

to transfer money, you can either direct debit (ING automatically takes $X from your regular savings account) OR you can choose a one off amount (by clicking "transact" in the ING account) and it will take it out of your savings.

likewise, to transfer money back into your savings, you go to "transact" and send money back to your savings account. :)

there's no fees or charges, and interest is paid at the end of each month.

*the rate is currently 5.40% not 5.49% as I stated in a previous post ;)
