well me and my friends went south for our own little schoolies, and we had the best F****** time ever. Yes, there was alcohol, but it was at our apartment, not binge drinking on the beach. I'm not sure that there were any random acts of stupidity.... unless u include jay walking. There was certainly no sex, but there was a lot of flirting with other people.

Reading through this forum has made me really angry and i'm going to have my 2 cents now:
1)I am one of "those" going to schoolies to get off my face, be stupid and hook up alot. However, I do not plan on getting so drunk that i pass out or spew (i plan on getting pretty pissed, letting go of my inhibitions, and having an awesome time, i don't plan on drinking shots, wine and beer will do me fine, and maybe a cocktail or two!), i do not plan on doing anything that will get me arrested (more things like freestyle walking and being random, walking upto randoms and hugging them and saying congrats, you know, being silly, not dangerous), and i do not plan on having random sex (maybe just alot of kisses!)
I think there is nothing wrong with my decisions, they are all harmless and just allow for me to have a rockin time!
2) all this christianity bullsh*t is giving me the sh*ts. The old pope was as bad as Hitler (ding dong the witch is dead), and the new one is just as bad. And did you ever think that pregnancy could be cured with a little thing called termination? oh wait, christians don't think i as a woman have the right to determine what happens to my own body, sorry. you are making out like all christians are prudes and losers, i'm not one myself (thankfully), but i have many friends who are, and plenty of them are not virgins ,and plenty of them drink and are coming on schoolies, and that has nothing to do with whether they have faith and whether they believe in god.
Get over yourself and your prudishness, go out, be young, have fun! You have all your life to be sensible and responsible, you have only a few years left to be wreckless! come on! we don't have to do anything dangerous or idiotic or illegal (except maybe that underage drinking thing!) but really, nothing we do is that harmful. .....I am appalled by what this guy has been saying....Schoolies...its not just all those things you mentioned, mate if you can't go just let it be, its you whos missing out. Just because you can't go or dont want to because of those reasons doesn't mean you have to go on about it to other people who are planning on going away for a crazy week of fun following a stressful final year of school. PLUS dont you think we know these bad stories of schoolies already, we're not pigme hermits with 9 inch beards that live under a rock ya know.
AND STOP TALKING DOWN TO US ALL AS IF WE'RE CHILDREN IN UR KINDI CLASS MATE... we have brains, which we have used in the process of deciding to go to schoolies.
