i don't see how those kinds of hours aren't normal from what a normal corporate type of job would be like having worked in quite a few companies.

If anything that post made the big 4 seem quite grand- ie: Awesome pay etc which isn't so commonly seen in syd where the big 4 pay at the lower end of the spectrum compared to many other grad roles due to the other benefits the grads receive.

The context is obviously different to over here, I doubt there is as much class distinction over here. There isn't much to talk about in terms of the pedigree of different universities because on the whole our tertiary system sucks and the Big 4 seems to have a intake of students from all over the place.

It was an interesting read though, so thanks for the link =)

Not a problem unless you auto replace them all, just find the words and then click replace =P

I didn't have any problems with typing in the wrong firm, I did miss one grammar mistake in an application though.
Some people are just really lazy. For exAMPle, thEY just use replace all and click Submit.

(ps. the above paragraph is not really intended to make sense; it's an example in itself)

I don't think that is even possible? Unless you get no sleep and work in two different areas, or the time frames do not overlap.

I think you can in Canberra, cos their vac. programs are 3 weeks each and might not overlap? e.g kpmg and ey

We have a lot of UK secondees in our sydney office and most of them reflect on how much more relaxed the social side of the Big4 is in sydney.

Whilst there are always egos I don't think its anywhere near as bad here as in that post.

The night didn't help me come up with a conclusion in the end, just a chance to mingle I suppose.

Yeah it is busy season afterall, the lack of senior management was a bit of a dissapointment. There were probably only 1 or 2 managers and partners
