hey guys, i'm wondering if it's allowed to use '&' instead of and and numbers like 1,2,3... instead of one, two, three....?

I think one of my past English teachers told me that if it's a number under 10 then write the actual word but if it's greater than or is 10 it's okay to write the number. But I'm not 100% sure. Email your English teacher.

Either way, life goes on whether you write '3' or 'three' in your essay.

what about for subjects other than English (like not maths or science), say humanities subjects? e.g. pdhpe

so using &, numbers or "e.g."
Numbers are allowed for evidence - e.g. stats in Economics.

Using '&' is just a no.

Use ''for example,'' instead of ''e.g.''

No don't write "&" always write "AND", always, hehe.

I'm unsure, but for stuff like economics, for stats you can use 23% etc but for PDHPE I would think still use "and" and "for example" as it's more formal. Dunno about numbers though
