hey guys,
i want to purchase a textbook for chemistry this year because my class wasn't provided with them, just wondering what one you would recommend? advice and opinions are much appreciated

Conquering or jacaranda are good

Yep, our school uses Jacaranda I believe, and I've been hearing good things about it, although I don't do Chem

Jacaranda is good but extremely detailed and goes way beyond the syllabus at times.
Conquering is better but not perfect.
Why don't you use jacaranda + conquering + notes from top students to make your own notes, i.e. take the best into from the textbooks and notes and put them in your own notes?
