They're far too melodic to be classed as Death Metal even if they scrapped the hardcore vocals and started doing gutturals.

In Flames latest stuff is absolute gayness.

Anyways, any you guys heard the new Bloodbath album (The Fathomless Mastery)

Seriously awesome

Its not bad, my favourite songs on that album are 'at the behest of their death', 'process of disillumination', 'treasonous', and 'hades rising'. But not much of a standout album for me. I hate how bands have good albums in the middle of their career, but slowly begin to suck later on. I dont think The Fathomless Mastery was as good as resurrection thru carnage, or unblessing the purity ep. Bands like Amon Amarth and Behemoth have got much much better over time, their latest albums are their best (AA's 2 latest albums are their best i reckon).
